TXT e-solutions

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you altered the Italian TXT e-solutions article in the line of the way I altered the English article here. I would like to help you improve this article some more, but I do need your help. I think the current state of the article is a good start, but it (urgently) needs work. Articles like this tend to be speedy deleted later on when ever one feels like it... and then there is nobody to blame. The article is in need of more reliable third party sources, and the (notable) stories about TXT should be represented here if possible. See also Wikipedia:Reliable sources. You can also email me if you want (you can use the email option in the toolbox left on my userpage). Then we can discuss this some more. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 17:03, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marcel, I would have like to send you an email but i'm just a beginner with wikipedia and i haven't spotted the right link yet. Anyway, I really appreciate your help and advice. I added some links about international projects. Hope it will work:)
Hi, thanks for your respons. The intention of your new effort was good. But you have to be aware of the right tone. (For me as a not-native speaker this is a big problem as well.) Now I think the article is still in the danger zone... The best way to secure the article get some work done soon. I think almost the whole article needs to be rewritten. I thin a good example here is the Ansaldo STS. I will explain more soon. One question: Where did you get the information about the history of TXT? -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 00:39, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have reduced and rewritten the article some more... and hope this will do for now. I would advice you to read this article as well. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 01:06, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I took the liberty of creating an archive here on your talkpage, There is no need to keep looking at these warnings if you can archive them all the same

Hi, I've taken the history information from the annual report '06 http://www.txtgroup.com/content/maincontent/4774/C_4_maincontent_4774_gr_content_mrkt_download_object.pdf but as you suggest i will try to rewrite it as a text and not as a list. I've made few change in the text to be in line with the information on the web site.

Hi. I referted those changes as I explained below. I will take a look at that annual report, and get back on that. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 16:07, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. A companies website is considered to be one of the most irreliable source.

Original research

[edit]

Ok. I guess you think you know better removing the improvements I made. Now I referted you because it seems like original research to me, read Wikipedia:No original research.

I guess you don't understand that every pace of information should rely on notable sources. If you start adding different text, you should at least add a source. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 16:06, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

You most likely an employee of TXT e-solutions and most likely have a Conflict of interest, read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Because of that it is better not to edit the article, but stick to responding on the talkpage.

In stead of that you didn'ty respond, but started removing the improvement I made. I would advice you not to continu in this way. I am prepared to help, but if you continue I will have you blocked all the same. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 16:06, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some more explanation

[edit]

Hi Antonell. I explained some more about my recent changes on the article talkpage, see Talk:TXT e-solutions. Next time you comment, please sign your post with four tildes (~~~~) and the program automatically makes a signature. Good luck. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 21:11, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, the new references you added to the article are hardly considered reliable sources, and I would advice you not to add more of those links... Or in other words. Next time I will remove them all. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

wich one? I'm just trying to find other web pages speaking about TXT (Antonell 1983 (talk) 14:47, 11 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]
The reference from "Microsoft Case Studies" and "Manufacturing & Logistics IT". These kind of web pages are hardly ever considered to be reliable sources, and I (or others) tend to remove them sooner or later. One example is the Zachman Framework article. The version on year ago, see here contained almost only this kind of links. Eventually I rewrote the whole article and removed most of them.
If you want to search for reliable sources, use Google Books or Google Sholar. However, personally I think the article looks fine at the moment. I would just leave it for now. Maybe you can focus on writing an new article about TXT's most notable product.
One other thing. Maybe you think I am a bit harsh on you, but in the long term I think this is for the best. In Wikipedia these articles about smaller companies often considered to be just advertisements. Editors can always propose to delete them, and then there is often still little you can do. So the trick I use is not to draw to much attention. Keep it simple and uphold the highest standards. I hope for the best that this will appreciate this in the end. --Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 15:10, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I never thought you've being harsh, but I've really appreciated your help and advice. I will try to update the italian version following your guidelines. thank you so much (Antonell 1983 (talk) 15:32, 11 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Ok thank you. I have no experience with the Italian Wikipedia. Every Wikipedia has developed own specific guidelines... regarding this kind of articles. I guess you are on your own their. Good luck. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 19:57, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
