Page moves[edit]

Hi Jilly. There's no harm, but you don't need to leave explanatory messages following page moves that fix spelling; they happen more often than you can imagine and speak pretty well for themselves. You're doing a fantastic job today, by the way, with all of the spelling corrections. Let me know if there's anything I help you with. ×Meegs 16:53, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stubs at U.S. Congress articles[edit]

On Fifty-fifth United States Congress, you removed the stub tag. Can you please insert section stubs on the empty sections or restore the stub tag. Ditto for the other Congresses you've modified. I know that these articles have a lot of information, but they have blank or incomplete sections that need to be filled. Thanks! —Markles 18:09, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you say that you like improving websites...well then improve them instead of putting deletion tags anywhere. Unixer 10:28, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copied from Unixer's talk page to maintain thread: "Unixer, I added the deletion request because the article looked like spam as it only contained an external link. Sorry if that wasn't your intention. Adding a few sentences explaining why a website is of use and/or interest could ensure this doesn't happen again. I've looked at the content you added recently and believe it vastly improves the article - I think your article deserves to remain and grow. As the person who created the article you are in the best position to justify its existence. I hope you're able to do this with future submissions so others don't inadvertantly mark a potentially good article for deletion. I'm happy to try to help, but please remember to be friendly with newcomers. Thanks, Jilly 11:23, 28 March 2006 (UTC) :o)"[reply]

Rocco DeLuca[edit]

If you're a fan, help me man! Thanks from England!

I saw your entry for Rocco DeLuca, saw the documentary and interview with Sutherland here in England so created Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. I am a HUGE fan!

Hi Jilly, Many thanks for replying to me, your comments are of great help!, I greatly appreciate them! I will view that link now and edit as much as I can. I am sure that I will be back in touch with you if that is ok with you? A Sutherland fan, huh? I bought a jacket and bag (Bauer Bag) recently, LOL. No, I am not that sad but I did buy these LOL. OK, geek time over! FK0071a 16:58, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Edit, you don't know of their music? - It's the most "real" music I have heard! I love James Blunt but I hate fakeness. Rocco is the real deal. As with any album, I am a fussy bugger, It tkes me five listens to like any album, DeLuca's has gripped me for life, thatr much say something"!

Jimmy Richardson[edit]

To me, the photograph strongly suggests the ball was over the line when he made the cross in - a ball-shaped object can clearly be seen, and it is all the way over the white line. Many contemporary press reports also insist the ball was over the line. I can also remember seeing film of the incident that clearly shows the ball over the line (possibly during the runup to the 1998 final); a Guardian article from 1932 suggests a conclusive angle does exist, somewhere. But I can't find stills or the clip anywhere online.

Until I can find such evidence, I'd be fine with you toning down the language in the article, and it would be fine to affirm that Richardson believed the ball was in play and meant no malice (it was never my intention to suggest otherwise). However, many people who witnessed the match did believe the ball was out of play, and even the official NUFC history doesn't try to claim that the ball was in, and these should be acknowledged too. Hi, Got the info on your great uncle from a book I've got on playing careers of all league footballers before the second world war, so can't help re him coaching Orient. Spotted Joe Richardson in the book as well, so checked out a few websites and he seemed to be the long serving trainer (though a couple websites had it as Jimmy). Do you know if Joe and Jimmy were related? WikiGull 15:34, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a John Pattison Richardson, born in Bedlington in 1909, died in 1979, who played 3 games for Oldham, so I assume that's him. The Joe Richardson I mentoned was born in Bedlington in 1908. WikiGull 07:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Commercial links?[edit]

Hi! Sorry about the message. It certainly wasn't intended for you. IP addresses do change fairly frequently (they aren't permanently associated with particular computers, in general), so the message was intended for whoever happened to have that IP address on 17 December 2005 (note the date stamp on that message). I apologize if I caused any alarm. Thanks for asking! —Caesura(t) 20:10, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
