Possible conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, April2029. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. In particular, what relationship do you have to the [floridasmart.com FloridaSmart] and [holidaysmart.com HolidaySmart] websites? - Donald Albury 12:38, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To answer this question, I am a fan of Holidays and I use HolidaySmart regularly for fun stuff. I noticed that a lot of information is missing on wikipedia and HolidaySmart is one of my primary sources for reference. I also use Time and Date but they are more Calendar oriented. Living in Florida, FloridaSmart is one of many Florida Sites I go to mostly for their event listings, but I also read their latest articles and guides. You will also see references from me from FloridaWeekly, OrlandoWeekly, FloridaToday and College Academic Resources as well as many other Florida media and reference sites when I find information that they recently posted that you do not have on wikipedia. Should I not reference the same sites when they have information that is good? I have been verifying the information and researching across other sites before adding here, I only list the sites that seem most relevant to the updated information. Check the information I am adding. I believe the sources are relevant and sometimes better then what is there since many of the links and content are outdated. I am only adding new sources that are current that I am reading about daily.April2029 (talk) 20:51, 18 June 2019 (UTC) Still learning, did I sign this correctly? Because I am just learning and wanting to add and share the information from sites I use daily, how should I go about referencing? Is there a rule for how many times you should reference one site? For example, if I am researching insects in Florida, and a university site or a Florida blog has information that I'd like to share on several pages and topics, should I be careful not to reference them too many times? Also to answer the question more about me, I am a stay at home mom homeschooling my children, which is why knowledge and research and keeping things accurate and updated are so important to me. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brownie day requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:28, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
