Dear AranMaxwell1Cox,

I am afraid I have nominated your article about the Politics of Judeas for deletion, as a likely hoax/fiction. If you want it to be kept, you should visit its voting page, and provide evidence that it is factual.

Sincerely, Mike Rosoft 20:12, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Canada[edit]

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 15:17, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crossing flags[edit]

Please do not cross flags on your user page. This may offend others and is even considered a crime in many countries. I am sure you are able to express your valuable opinion in a respectful way. Imagine someone crossed the flag of Canada or the UK - also a union. ROGNNTUDJUU! 21:21, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed your comment from my talk page as I consider it rude. I see nothing wrong in asking someone to show some respect for the people who feel represented by a flag. While you write you support the independence of Scotland, you however choose to represent your nationality with a Union Jack. I do not know what concerns you have about the EU but I am sure you know how to express them without unnecessarily offending others. Have a good time here. Thanks for uploading Image:13th_Commonwealth_Games-_Edinburgh_1986.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Thanks for uploading Image:8th British Empire and Commonwealth Games- Kingston 1966.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.108.230 13:42, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:1NiagaraFalls.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:1NiagaraFalls.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

NHL Images[edit]

Please read the fair use criteria. The logos are not free images, but are copyrighted, and can only be used in articles about the organizations. -- Regards, -- Jeff3000

Commonwealth Games Manchester[edit]

I note you have uploaded images of other Commonwealth Games meets (such as Victoria 1994 etc). There is an attempt to have the image I uploaded for the Manchester Commonwealth Games deleted as it is a non-free image. Since it seems that your images are not being attacked could you load up a Manchester 2002 image and replace for mine? Rhyddfrydol 13:45, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:14th Commonwealth Games- Auckland 1990.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:14th Commonwealth Games- Auckland 1990.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:37, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
