Fanstalk

[edit]

The article Fanstalk has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Merope 22:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted it because it does not assert why this particular website is notable. You can see the criteria we use for evaluating web content at WP:WEB. -- Merope 22:56, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that is free editable, which means anyone can edit it. It does not mean that all edits are good or acceptable or even necessary. Unfortunately, an article about a web forum with 300 members isn't really noteable enough to be covered in an encyclopedia. It's nothing against you or your community; it's just the rules that we enforce. I hope you will stay here and find other ways to contribute to our project. -- Merope 18:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
