Synopsis[edit]

Thierry Guetta is a French immigrant living in Los Angeles, making a comfortable living with his vintage clothing shop. He also has a strange obsession with carrying a camera everywhere he goes, constantly filming his surroundings. His home is filled with boxes of useless film of random shots and filming collected throughout the years. His cousin "Invader" a popular street artist leads him to connect with other various global street artists where he can follow and film them on their artsy adventures over rooftops and alleys. Thierry has a desire of putting together his collection and creating a documentary but never with the intention of creating an actual film. He unexpectedly crosses paths with Banksy a very prominent and discreet artist from England that he guides through L.A.

Thierry completes his documentary "Life Remote Control" after Banksy recommends the monumental task upon him. Disappointed with the outcome, Banksy loses confidence in Thierry's ability to produce film and instead encourages Thierry to make his own art show while Banksy takes control of the filmmaker role. Thierry accepts the task and identifies himself as "Mr. Brainwash", where his art pieces are upwards in the thousands for each piece. Finding himself with very little time to prepare for the show, his crew ends up appointing the art displays layout. The outcome is a huge success after some odd twists and turns throughout the film and time sensitive suspenseful scenes.
