Need to revert the deletion of the disambiguation page[edit]
Hi! Some slightly bad news: you'll need to revert your new edits, sorry! There needs to be a disambiguation page for R12, so that people can find the right "R12" that they're looking for. So... could you please "undo" your edits, and then create a new page maybe titled "R12 cemetery" with the archaeological info you cited. Then, you can add a link to "R12 cemetery" to the disambiguation page. Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any questions. Ninafundisha (talk) 14:07, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

A note about disambiguation and article titles[edit]
Hi Archaeologycheesewiz, I have undone your edits to R12, as this is what we call a disambiguation page. Disambiguation pages help readers find the topic that they are looking for when multiple articles exist at similar titles (imagine trying to find a John Smith on Wikipedia--disambiguation pages help find the right one).
So instead of overwriting the disambiguation page R12, you need to create an article at a different name. I suggest R12 (cemetery). R12 peer review (by Trachelophorus)[edit]
I think the lead section isn’t supposed to have any specific details that aren’t present and elaborated on in the rest of the article. For the most part I think your lead is really good, but I don’t think you need to include the specific information about excavation that you did (like the name of the excavating groups, how many graves were found per year, etc.). You could probably just add all of that to your Excavation section that follows, and maybe just summarize in the lead by saying that excavation was between 2000 and 2003 and how many total graves there are or something like that.
As you keep developing your article you should try to include more cultural information about the people who lived in R12. I think right now the focus is more on the archaeological findings of the site, and I think right now without as much historical context it feels kind of unbalanced toward all of the artifact information. I think the level of detail on the artifacts is really good though, and it’ll feel more balanced one there are more sections on analysis that archaeologists have done about the people themselves (their origins, where they went after, more on the pastoralism stuff, etc.). If there is any physical anthropology research, that kind of information would be good to add.
Something I was thinking of doing in my article was adding a section for other related Neolithic cemetery complexes nearby (such as yours), and I was thinking maybe rather than having a whole heading dedicated to Gebel Ramlah in your article it might seem more balanced to talk briefly about a few different related cemeteries all under one main heading.
Especially because you went into detail on so many types of tools and grave goods, you could probably find some more pictures to include as well. The picture of the bovines that you added was a good way to add images even when there are no images of the site, I need to do something like that in my article too. Also this is a bit random but on that note I think cattle are a part of the bovid family too, maybe you should add that disclaimer in the cattle section if you keep it separated from the bovid section.
Obviously I have no idea how much literature there is on this subject but you can probably keep adding sources (I’m sure you will as you add to you article anyhow). Also I noticed sometimes you left a space before the in text citations.
Overall though I think everything you’ve done so far is organized and simplified in a way that’s really easy to comprehend, and I think as you keep developing things it’ll look really great! Trachelophorus (talk) 22:31, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
