Welcome![edit]

Hello, Ariel plantz, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Hi, I just wanted to let you know that we moved this article to its correct location, the "Wikipedia:" prefix is for policy, guidelines and noticeboards that are used to maintain the encyclopedia. I see that there are some formatting issues (especially for references) that are marked in red at the bottom of the article. If you need further help, please don't hesitate to post on my talk page or to put {{helpme}} followed by your question on this page. -- Luk talk 08:29, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your reply. Here are some remarks:
  • On reference ":1", the date is indeed incorrect: {{Cite journal|last=Azeem|first=Babar|last2=KuShaari|first2=KuZilati|last3=Man|first3=Zakaria B.|last4=Basit|first4=Abdul|last5=Thanh|first5=Trinh H.|date=2014-05|title=Review on materials & methods to produce controlled release coated urea fertilizer|url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jconrel.2014.02.020%7Cjournal=Journal of Controlled Release|volume=181|pages=11–21|doi=10.1016/j.jconrel.2014.02.020|issn=0168-3659}}
the date there is missing it's day part
  • On reference ":5", the link https://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/special-reports/srccs/srccs_chapter6.pdf is not working
  • Overall, I think the way you arranged references is a bit complicated, it seems to me that the same reference is defined more than once, you might want to revisit that and give them memorable names instead of numbers
I hope this helps! -- Luk talk 23:43, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

feedback[edit]

Hi Ariel plantz--I agree with the above commenter in terms of addressing reference problems. It would be great if you could fix those. As far as other issues, I addressed several problems with the article. You can review the changes I made and the rationale I used on the page history here. I hope that helps and congrats on making a Wikipedia article! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:37, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

External academic review and publication of Wikipedia pages[edit]

Hi, This is a note to ask: would you be interested in submitting any articles for external, academic peer review to improve their accuracy and generate a citable publication?

The WikiJournal of Science (www.wikijsci.org) aims to couple the rigour of academic peer review with the extreme reach of the encyclopedia. For existing Wikipedia articles, it's a great way to get additional feedback from external experts. Peer-reviewed articles are dual-published both as standard academic PDFs, as well as having changes integrated back into Wikipedia. This improves the scientific accuracy of the encyclopedia, and rewards authors with citable, indexed publications. It also provides much greater reach than is normally achieved through traditional scholarly publishing.

The WP:WikiJournal article nominations page should allow simple submission of existing Wikipedia pages for external review.
