I just wanted to leave a short note of admiration and support for your WP work. Although a newbie, I have seen that you uphold patiently the common sense WP principles. When one sees how much emotionally engaged, even fanatically some users spend all their time to apply for deletion of any graphic images or video material of the underground democratic movement in mainland China like in 2011 Chinese protests andTiananmen Square protests of 1989 under the disguise of false claims of copyright violations. They even try to bring conspiracy theories into articles by citing mainland propaganda or denounce 'Voice of America' of being non-reliable, deleting their video news coverage repeatedly, using different alias. These people try to twist WP principles against the very aim of WP itself, which is to bring enlightenment and pluralistic views. I encourage you to continue your important work no matter how long it takes to counter the fanatics. In the long run, history will proof the fanatics wrong. After reading all those comments on that AfD, my experience told me that, more than likely, the result of the debate would be a Keep, and seeing that Zlqq was still keep on arguing, my "Give up, you can't win" comment was really a friendly comment, reminding him not to waste anymore time in defending his view points. Sorry to barge in on your conversation, but you really shouldn't belong on the Wikipedia project if you are intent on solely pushing your own POV, and have no other purpose for being here. Wikipedia maintains aWP:NPOV policy, and regardless of whether an editor likes or dislikes a topic, must keep it as neutral as possible. However, having read remarks from you such as

Who is it to say that a newbie doesn't have an opinion, the right to express it, or that his/her opinion in this instance is worth less than someone who has been actively editing WP for 2 years or someone with 10,000 edits to his/her name? Hi! I was a bit confused about why you addedCultural Revolution Great Leap Forward, and Mao's Great Famineto the category; in my opinion, these don't quite fit. Although they were indeed big time political fails, it may be controversial categorizing them as disasters. I don't necessarily disagree, but I'm not seeing this as a clear cut case, either. The official CCP stance on CR: "It is stated that the Cultural Revolution...brought serious disaster and turmoil to the Communist Party and the Chinese people." Great Leap Forward was the direct cause of unnatural death of tens of millions of Chinese, to call it a disaster is just too tame. Hmmm, I guess it really depends on how you define the word disaster. The category, it looks like, generally contains articles about natural disasters. However, I can see how the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward can be included. Those pages are too koreancentric. And Buyeo isnt even korean as they are manchurian. And the kingdom of Buyeo should be listed as history of china and Balhae should be listed as history of china and korea.

Great Leap Forward's strange justifications[edit]

I agree with your deletion request for removing parts that try to justify Great Leap's death toll by comparing poverty/mortality data of other countries. I am from India and I openly acknowledge China is ahead of us in development but it is just absurd that they try to justify a massacre by comparing it to something totally unrelated. The Great Leap was a movement and India has absolutely nothing to do with it. Then why use us as scapegoats? If Indian articles on poverty dont justify it by saying 'Oh we might be behind China but look how many they killed in Great Leap' then why should they do it with us? Thanks for pointing out similar discrepancies in Great Chinese Famine. It is painful how they have misquoted Sen as that is opposite of what he has tried to convey. We can remove his quote or put a more representative one and I have made an edit on Great famine to put this is in effect. Though I am against anything in 'Alternative Interpretation' as an Encyclopedia shall be focused and to the point rather than being an letter of apology/justifications of events. If we neutralize the bitter lessons from history we will be failing the very basic reason behind documenting it i.e. to learn from the mistakes of the past. Image watermarks[edit]

Regarding photos such as Commons:File:Du Yuesheng2.jpg, it isagainst Wikipedia's image use policy to upload images with watermarking, as there are legal and copyright issues, even if the image should be public domain since it is an old image. I suggest you have a review of all uploaded images; if there are any other Chinese historical photographs that you have uploaded containing watermarks, let me know immediately, so that I can remove the watermark using Adobe Photoshop CS5. Note that I will do this for historical photographs only, for example, images of notable people. I also urge other editors to do the same and check their uploaded images as well. In future conflicts, in order to avoid accusations of canvassing, it would be advisable to state your case at the appropriate forum – in this case, the NPOV noticeboard – using reasoned arguments (and not rhetoric) instead of posting to userpages. I think the best course of action for your both is to stop commenting about each other and avoid any interactions until you can work collaboratively together. Why? And in the case of arbitration, I would expect you~~both~~ to be banned or topic-banned. So better do not go there. P.S. (1) No, I am not "strong in your opposition to the PRC regime", just have a look:[3] which was created by me, if I was such a biased person, would I bother to spend so much time to contribute to this article, mind you, I am the only editor who care to work on it so far, nobody else did care to add one single word. Now, who is more into advocating CPC's history on Wikipedia?
(1.1) There is no "constant conflict with other editors", I do interact with many other editors nicely, for example, on the WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard discussions, there is no problem at all. Seeyears old history book and1900 National Upheaval.
(2) I never "force one's view down the throats of others", in the discussion on The Founding of a Party talkpage, all I did argue about is whether Radio France International is secondary source or not, of which yourself had agreed to:[4], also, should the question of RS of VeryCD be raised at WP:RSN or not.
(3) I do appreciate all the help I got from you in the past, and I still very much respect your opinion at present, but I object to your comment:"..show manifest disregard for others" which I have not done so. In the past, I often called others names, but not anymore, I have changed totally, now my talkpage discussion is always based on wiki rules, and how best to use them, how not to abuse them. Isn't it a positive development?
(4) I have never "stray into the realm of advocacy". My editing style should not be simply classed as anti this or anti that, that would be a very narrow and biased perspective, which is not my perspective. Taking all my editing contributions and all the articles created by me into context, my effort should be seen as maintaining neutrality of wikipedia project in totality. That said, I like to stress that I do respect, and need other editor's help to improve my editing skill, and I do always respect your view points.
(5) I am not "passionate about your politics, and strong in your opposition to the PRC regime." No, that is not the case, one good example is the Ai Weiwei article, I had begun to cite Wen Wei Po, and I will continue to do so. And File:The Founding of a Party.jpg was uploaded by me.
(6) I have created articles on Manchu Emperor Imperial Decrees andWuwei Troop, all these articles do put Manchu in a positive light, which would put the theory that I am "anti-Manchu" at rest.

I appreciate and acknowledge that you behaviour overall is not totally one-sided and negative, but my criticism is specific to the bizarre and unnecessary escalation of the dispute at the movie article, as the title clearly implied. It seemed clear to me that what you raised was a non-issue, and would have ended if you had simply posted to RS/N and let the matter drop at the article talk. It seems that you were unable to take a course of action that would resolve the issue, and what is worrying to me is that things then seems to have exploded. I encouraged you to take it to RS/N, but. I just wanted to leave a short note of admiration and support for your WP work. Although a newbie, I have seen that you uphold patiently the common sense WP principles. When one sees how much emotionally engaged, even fanatically some users spend all their time to apply for deletion of any graphic images or video material of the underground democratic movement in mainland China like in 2011 Chinese protests andTiananmen Square protests of 1989 under the disguise of false claims of copyright violations. They even try to bring conspiracy theories into articles by citing mainland propaganda or denounce 'Voice of America' of being non-reliable, deleting their video news coverage repeatedly, using different alias. These people try to twist WP principles against the very aim of WP itself, which is to bring enlightenment and pluralistic views. I encourage you to continue your important work no matter how long it takes to counter the fanatics. In the long run, history will proof the fanatics wrong.
