[edit]

Re Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. You are simply asking for trouble if you start your article with one sentence. Create it in User talk:Aristeo/sandbox until it is of a viable size, has clearly established notability and got all the "decoration" that makes it look like a proper article:wikification, category, incoming links, etc. -- RHaworth 11:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why I didn't expand on it too much is because I didn't know what the response towards it would be. I wouldn't want to create a big article about my subject just to have it deleted. I figured that having the {{underconstruction}} template on it would make it safe. Oh well, I guess I could create a userfied version of it and go from there, like you suggested. Thanks for the help. --Aristeo 17:37, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Recently someone removed the link to UESP from the external links listing on the Wikipedia article for Oblivion. Cause for removal was dead link. I have relisted the link with explanation about the connectivity issues as I believe it is the most valuable resource for the game.

I myself have experienced problems loading pages from UESP for many months now. Pages usually time out after several minutes of trying to load. Most of the time no number of attempts will result in the page loading, while some days the pages load after a few minutes and several attempts. Rarely does the site function properly and promptly.

I haven't been able to find information about what's going on with the servers and updates to the site. But it would be a shame to lose this resource. If you have information about the situation please explain it to me or point me to the information (as long as it's not on the unaccessible UESP). If the site is simply no longer being maintained or needs a new host I would like to see it transfered to someone who can maintain it. I do not have the knowledge or facilities to contribute to such a transfer, nor do I know anyone who could. I'm just a concerned individual appreciative of the work and knowledge put into the wiki.

Contact me at seth1452@hotmail.com Thank you.

Will do, thanks. --Aristeo 01:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
