Translation[edit]

Hi Armour! I've translated your text into Swedish:

Albaniens största handelspartner är Rumänien, Italien, Tjeckien, Slovakiska republiken, Tyskland, med flera. Landet exporterar råpetroleum, krommalm och järnmalm, koppertråd, grönsaker och frukt, tobak och vin. Albaniens viktigaste importvaror är maskiner och utrustning, reservdelar, mineraler och metaller, konstruktionsmaterial och matprodukter.

My native language is English, not Swedish, so if you can, it might be worth getting a native Swedish speaker to look at this in case I've made any errors or written anything that sounds odd. Regards, CLW 11:30, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Albanien bygde sitt första järnväg i 1947, och 40 år senare blev Tiranë länkad med resten av landets större industriella center. The highway network har till och med blivit förlängd till avlägsna bergs byar. Lufttransport, däremot, är ganska underutvecklad. Det finns ingen schemalagda inrikesplan.

What The highway network? Im no good at spelling, so aske someone to help you with that.--Striver 11:43, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"motorvägsnätverket"? "nätverket av motorvägar"? // Liftarn

I would go with the first of the two myself, or perhaps "riksvägsnät" (highway doesn't really translate, and I'm not sure if you're after what we Brits call a Motorway or a trunk road). Rje 13:22, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Rivers in Albania[edit]

Den längsta floden Drin (varav 280 km i Albanien) har sin upprinnelse i Kosovo i Serbien. Andra stora floder heter Seman, Shkumbin och Vjosë som alla flödar genom den västra slätten. De största sjöarna är Scutari (Liqeni i Shkodrës) som ligger i nordväst och Ohrid och Prespa vid den östra gränsen.

Spam[edit]

2 1/2 hours after your account is registered, you have asked some 70 users to translate text for you. Special:Contributions/Armour Not only is it strange to ask for something like this and not explain what you need the translation for, but this kind of spamming is not appreciated. / Habj 15:38, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hej, Albanau. Caesar 20:07, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm not interested in translating an article for you Armour (L'Houngan). First of all, I have no knowledge about Albania, which would create a risk of errors. Second, there are other articles I prefer spending my wikipedia-time on. Please also consider Wikipedia:Spam, before posting more requests all over en-wiki and sv-wiki. --Boivie 10:38, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Given the above comments, I do wish I'd not been so quick to help out - all seems rather odd. Especially seeing as you haven't bothered to come back with any kind of "thanks" message since. Can I ask what these translations are being used for? CLW 12:44, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Translation / Översättning[edit]

Perhaps I ought to have checked this discussion page before translating that text, but it wasn't too much work so I just did it right away.

You'll find it on my talk page.

I did the same thing... You will find the translation on my page. Oddjob se 07:06, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
