Hello! Arnav kapoor is not the appropriate place to post information about yourself, because it is in the part of Wikipedia where encyclopaedic articles are written. A "userpage" at Arnavkapoor, however, is available for personal information about yourself. When adding personal information please remember that Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. Hi. Let me explain in more detail. If your "editsemiprotected" requests mean that you want a "home page" for yourself which you can control and no-one else can edit, I'm afraid you are in the wrong place - you want a social-networking site like Myspace or Facebook or LinkedIn. That's not what Wikipedia is - it's a collaborative project to build an encyclopedia, and no page is owned by anyone - see WP:OWN. Also, even if a user is notable enough to have an encyclopedia article, people are strongly discouraged from writing articles about themselves, for reasons explained here.

Each registered user has a user page on which it is acceptable to put some personal information, though even that may be edited by others, and is mainly intended for information about you as a Wikipedia contributor - see WP:Userpage for more detail:

Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:ArnavKapoor.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:ArnavKapoor.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 06:06, 6 February 2011 (UTC). Thanks for uploading File:Kapoorarnav.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
