Please stop. If you continue to vandalise Wikipedia, as you did to Zoey 101, you will be blocked. --Yamla 23:53, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You left something out at Bad News Bears#MPAA Rating. I would fix it myself except I'm not sure what you're saying. I hope you will fix it because otherwise it needs to be deleted. Ward3001 01:28, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edit to McDonalds

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to McDonald's, is not consistent with our policy on attribution and verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --- Hdt83 | Talk/Chat 02:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Prom Tonight, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.seeklyrics.com/lyrics/Not-Another-Teen-Movie-Cast/Prom-Tonight.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Prom Tonight and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Prom Tonight with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Prom Tonight.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Prom Tonight/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Prom Tonight saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing!

Actually, the copyright to those lyrics is probably held by the songwriter or music publishing company, not by the operator of the above web site, but at any rate they are copyrighted. Metropolitan90 17:33, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

[edit]

Prom Tonight has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt the subject might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Hairspray (2007 film). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Hairspray (2007 film) with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Hairspray (2007 film) with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Hairspray (2007 film) saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You've already been asked above not to insert copyrighted materials into articles. Please stop doing this or you risk being blocked from editing. Thanks! CLW 06:46, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Producers

[edit]

Please stop adding the track lengths and vocalists to the soundtrack section - Wikipedia isn't the place for that kind of information. If somebody wants to know that, they can go to a soundtrack or lyrics website, or buy the CD themselves. This could be seen to come under WP:NOT#DIR or WP:NOT#INFO. As it is, there has been contest about whether the Soundtrack section should be in the article at all. Thanks. —Vanderdeckenξφ 08:50, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haunted High School Musical

[edit]

Hi, I wanted to drop you a note to explain why I keep reverting your addition of the casting/hiring rumors to the Haunted High School Musical page. To put the policy (found at WP:V) at it's most basic point: If it's a rumor or speculation, it shouldn't be in Wikipedia. The end. Now, there is an exception to that rule, which is if you can cite a news article or reliable source that supports the allegations, then it becomes fact and you can put it in. IMDb, however, is neither reliable nor trustworthy. It's as fan edited as is Wikipedia (heck, I have an account there), and I know from experience that they don't fact check half as well as we do here. So please, don't put in the casting rumors about who's coming back and who's in negotiations until someone can provide a citation. Let me know if you need help with that :) -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 13:35, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to High School Musical

[edit]

Hi there. Just a quick note, please use the talk page before making major, unsourced changes to a page. Thanks. --slakr 05:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Either on purpose or by accident, you deleted the last four paragraphs of the plot description of the movie. I reinstated the missing paragraphs and placed a spoiler bracket around them. I would have simply undone the changes, but that would have removed additions made by others as well. -- pedant 12:35, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Fighting Kids. Disney Channel's Wish Gone Amiss Weekend

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Disney Channel's Wish Gone Amiss Weekend, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please do not link to character pages, as they do not exist, but instead are redirects to the 1988 version of the film. Thanks. graphitesmoothie (talk | contributions) 07:11, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
