- Hi. I just realised that User:Shalor (Wiki Ed) is actually the Wikipedia expert assigned to your class, so you should get in touch with her.
- To expand on my previous comment, in order to help you, we need you to point us to something specific. Am I correct in assuming it's your sandbox that you want feedback on, and that you plan to expand the Honduran literature article? As a basic comment, the text in the body of a section shouldn't be dependent on the section header - it should be able to stand alone. So don't begin with "These writers..." Write something that's understanding even if it gets moved away from the section header.
- Generally speaking, you should avoid lists in the middle of an article. Specifically in this case, the lists aren't very helpful because there's no additional information about the writers. You might be able to get away with it if you were linking to articles about these writers, but they don't appear to have biographies on Wikipedia. So make sure you include enough information about them so that your readers have some sense of why they're there. My advice is to get rid of those lists and convert them to paragraphs. - I concur with what Ian has said. You also need to be careful of sentences like this:
- Claudio Barrera is considered to be one of the most outstanding writers of this generation for his ability to humbly describe the Honduran reality.
- While the sentence is sourced and I have no doubt that it's true, you need to be more specific with statements like this because they're considered to be an opinion. For example, another critic or person could disagree with the statement and say that he's outstanding for a separate reason or even that they don't believe that Barrera is outstanding. In any case, in this situation you'd attribute this to the newspaper, saying something like "Media outlets such as El Diario..." or similar.
- Now, as far as news sources go El Diario isn't a bad source by any means, but it's also not the best possible source out there - if possible, try to find academic sources like this one. They're typically a better place to look because they tend to do more research and are held to a higher bar, whereas newspapers have more freedom to write editorial or opinion pieces.
