Peer Review[edit]

The Asiatic soft-shell Turtle is an omnivore this specific turtle will feed off plants and animals when given the chance. The turtle has the ability to stay under water for long periods of time because of his gill like structure, making him be able to sneak up on his prey. The Soft-shoell turtle likes to eat a variety of foods among those are crab, fish, insects, worms, eggs, amphibians, crustaceans and sometimes bird carcasses. When these Asiatic soft-shell Turtles can't find meat they will choose to eat berries, nuts and plant seeds. One specific example of a non meat food these turtles choose to much on are rubber tree seeds. These turtles will do most of their hunting and foraging during the night hours. As with most animals depending on the habitat of each turtle the diet does change slightly.
