Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AngieGregorywall.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:AngieGregoryonWall.jpg. The copy called Image:AngieGregoryonWall.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 10:17, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Bisexual people

[edit]

Could you please tell me who you added to the list of bisexual people article? I've been trying to double-check all sources. Thank you. Asarelah (talk) 01:51, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have nominated Gone Like Solomon, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gone Like Solomon. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Please stop

[edit]

Please stop uploading images by others as your oiwn. I have deleted all three of the images of Angie Gregory, and I warn you that continuing to upload the work of others may lead to you being blocked from editing. If I have made a mistake here, I apologise- please explain on my talk page, and we can sort this out so that this won't happen again. J Milburn (talk) 11:48, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can I ask why you uploaded them with the silly captions? Why not just upload the originals? Where did you take them? J Milburn (talk) 11:55, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Angie Gregory

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Angie Gregory, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Angie Gregory and Lori Jean Wilson

[edit]

The problem is that Wikipedia has particular standards of notability before inclusion is allowed in order to prevent it from becoming an unwieldy mass of random information about everyone in the world. If you wish to contest those standards (and I encourage you to do so if you disagree), then the right place to do so is here: Wikipedia talk:Notability (people). If you wish to contest the deletion within the standards, then add comments to the deletion discussion page itself. Do not under any circumstances remove or change other people's comments though! I see that you did that once before here, so I'll be watching. Most people that have their articles put up for deletion don't have a problem with the standards, it's just that they only want them applied to everyone but themselves. Please don't be one of those people. Thanks! - Richfife (talk) 21:12, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As a reply to your question/comment on Wikipedia talk:Notability (people) ...
IMDB.com is maintained by contributing editors. It is generally considered to be a reliable source, however its contents alone do not establish notability. Wikipedia:Notability in a nutshell says notability is demonstrated by multiple sources. An article whose sole source is IMDB might be a reasonable candidate for deletion. If the topic of the article is truly notable, it should be easy to find multiple sources. To make a blanket statement "It's on IMDB therefore it should have an article" is not keeping within the spirit of Wikipedia. Truthanado (talk) 12:36, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
