Non-free images in userspace

Hi, I have removed two non-free images from your sandbox as non-free images are not allowed in the userspace. Thanks, — neuro(talk)(review) 16:28, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome messages

[edit]

Hi. When you put {{subst:User:Download/Welcome|Your username here}} on a new user's talk page, you are meant to substitute your own username for "Your username here" just before the end. As you have been doing it, the message people get starts "welcome to Wikipedia! I am Your username here". Personally, I think that while welcoming new users is a good thing to do, so large a welcome message is rather overwhelming; I prefer one of the simpler ones like {{subst:welcome}}, but that's a matter of taste. RfA Thanks

[edit]
Thank you for supporting me in my recent RfA, which unfortunately did not pass with a final tally of (45/39/9). I plan on addressing the concerns raised and working to improve in the next several months. Special thanks go to MBisanz, GT5162, and MC10 for nominating me. Thank you for your support

[edit]
Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. If you would like to assist in my betterment and/or co-nominate me in the future, please let me know on my talk page. Special thanks go to Schmidt, MICHAEL Q., TomStar81, and henrik for their co-nominations and support. — BQZip01 — talk

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Butyrospermum parkii. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Master Runner (Talk/Contribs) 22:29, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Images on Userpage

[edit]

Hi Assasin Joe. Firstly, thanks for the support. I didn't recognise your username, so I went to your userpage and noticed you had a Non Free Image on the page. (Image:Halo-Logo.png) As you may or may not know, non-free images cannot be used in the userspace, so I removed the. Apologies for the inconvenience. :) \ Backslash Forwardslash / {talk} 03:54, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at the liscense, and scince it is a logo the liscence stated that it could be used as a free image on the mainspace. Maybe I read it wrong, I will keep it off though, thanks for your concern. Assasin Joe talk 03:57, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Halo 3: Master Chief

That was vandalism. As the article itself says, Master Chief isn't even in ODST. ... Or was your edit summary sarcasm and I didn't get it? --Thejadefalcon (talk) 09:35, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yah, it kind of was sarcasm. I wasn't sure though, so I gave the user the benifit of the doubt. Assasin Joe talk 17:36, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would have thought it was obvious, but I've had constant bad luck with trolls everywhere on the net, so maybe I've gotten too good at spotting them. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 10:07, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Halo reach.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Halo reach.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:54, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We're wrapping up the democratic rules approval process. Please see Wikipedia:Trading card game/Action plan/Phase 1:Rules/Rules approval‎ and review the ruleset. If no changes are made to it within 7 days, then we will proceed next week with the card nomination and approval process.

If you are no longer interested in helping out with the project, please remove your name from the participants list.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. The file File:Mr. Black.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Image has little use for Wikipedia; it's inclusion on two talk pages are unnecessary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. only (talk) 18:03, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
