Welcome![edit]

Hello, Autumn B03, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi there, I wanted to just drop a quick message about why I made a reversion of your edit. Adding more sources and details about Swann's life is an amazing contribution and we really appreciate constructive contributions. However, several sections read more as a persuasive essay rather than the more encyclopedic tone that Wikipedia uses in its articles. Additionally, the geographical context section (which I can appreciate since I have an MA in geography myself) appears to be original research or synthesis which is not allowed in Wikipedia articles (see WP:NOR). I will be around for a while longer today if you'd like to discuss a bit further about improving the draft in your sandbox or you can always message someone at the Wikipedia Teahouse.
