Article Evaluation: Conservative Evangelicalism in Britain -neutral -claim that these groups oppose women preachers = uncited!! Some discussion of this in the talk page. -grammatical idiosyncracies -23 references; no broken links -article only updated to 2014...is there more recent info? -no individual sections on women, no racial indicators -definitely leaning towards the objective white man's history - most claims are supported with a quote of academic evidence: for example, it was a defensive movement is supported by a quote about causation.

Review of proposed additions to capital punishment page[edit]

Your proposed addition of a section on women and capital punishment is really great, as is your much more detailed and updated revision of the distribution of sexes section. One thing I'd be curious to see you explicitly address is the shift from say the 17th century when you have something like the Salem Witch Trials that execute a lot of women, to the 19th and 20th centuries, when a woman's execution is a really exceptional event. Do you have sources that help explain why this happens? What accounts for the diminishing number of women who are executed? I would imagine for one thing its a vast reduction in the number of capital crimes as well as changing ideas about criminality. Can you address that with sources? Peer Review- Erin[edit]

I really enjoyed reading your edits! The statistics and updated information you added to the "Distribution of Sexes" section really makes the disproportionate numbers pop in a clear and concise way. That addition will definitely add a lot to the article and further readers' knowledge. One thing I would be interested in seeing is more information, if it exists, on the history of women's capital punishment in the U.S. There's a huge time gap between the Salem Witch Trials, Abraham Lincoln's assassination, and the 1970s and I think filling in those blank spaces would really improve the article, cover the topic, and answer any questions people may have. Everything you already have is great! Doublea-ron (talk) 21:45, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A super good article! A lot of really, really good statistics and great sources. I'm interested to know more - if there is anything more you have? But what is in there now is good! Zoreltimes (talk) 05:26, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
