Hi, I noticed your contributions to the talk page of Qur'an desecration controversy of 2005. It would be most helpful if you could sign your posts; it helps indicate who said what. The easiest way to do this is to type ~~~~ at the end of your post; the system automatically substitutes your name and a date/time stamps. All the best, -- Viajero | Talk 21:38, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I don't see why it's an issue. Clearly I you were able to find me. And even if you weren't, so what?
It is an issue because Wikipedia is essentially a collaborative enterprise. If you edit here a lot, you will interact frequently with other editors. User names are only to facilitate communication, nothing more. We don't need to know anything about another user's real life -- indeed many of the best contributors here are cloaked in anonymity -- but one's online reputation is important; it all boils down to trust. No one here will force you to sign your Talk page posts if you don't want, but it is considered a discourtesy to other users not to.
Maybe you were being ironical by not signing your message to my talk page just now -- I saw your name in my Watchlist, so I knew it was from -- but it does suggest you don't really care about getting a reply. -- Viajero | Talk 08:38, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
