Aylestone School[edit]

Hi, AylestoneTechie. I've seen that you undid my edit to the Aylestone School. Our Manual of Style states that we should not refer to individuals with these sort of prenominal titles – therefore, the correct usage in the article's infobox would indeed be simply "Simon Robertson". On a side note, your edit summary said my edit was "unauthorised". Edits can't be unauthorised per se; the ownership of content policy outlines this. Please do let me know if you want me to clarify anything further. MIDI (talk) 20:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, your username implies you're involved with the school. We have a guide for users who have a conflict of interest – please do read WP:COIE. Given this edit, which may be seen to be removal of negative content (albeit unreferenced), it may be best for you to suggest edits to the page by writing a message on Talk:Aylestone School, rather than making them yourself. Thanks, MIDI (talk) 20:32, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mr Midi.....I have been instructed but the Executive Head Teacher to not be concerned over this edit. I would like it noted that an employee of the federation of schools, who is employed to control the public appearance of the schools digital status is hardly a 'conflict of interest'.

Good afternoon AylestoneTechie. Unfortunately, someone who is paid to control the public appearance of the school's digital status is precisely what a conflict of interest is, because it places the paid editor in a conflict between their employer's goals and Wikipedia's goals; the goal here is to further Wikipedia, not the school. I do hope you read the above linked policies and guidelines; they explain everything in detail. I'm here to help, and keen to help you with the article – so please do ask if and when you have questions. I have written a list of a few things I think it would be good to include in the article (you'll find them on the article's talk page). It would be great if you could help. I do find it remarkable that the goals of wikipedia would be in conflict with the goals of the school. But if that's wikipedia purpose then so be it. AylestoneTechie (talk) 12:34, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good evening, AylestoneTechie. Per our discussion above (and the reason I first left you a message here), please don't continue to re-add "Mr" into the article; it does not follow our style guide. I refer to two edits ([1] and [2]) which you made after we spoke about this. Thanks, and have a happy new year. MIDI (talk) 19:00, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
