Could you please refrain from namedropping, links to disambiguationpages, spam and the adding of meaningless peacock terms on hotel articles? Thanks! The Banner talk 18:21, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Again, could you stop adding peacock terms to hotel articles? The Banner talk 10:04, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

One Aldwych

[edit]

Could you please stop adding peacock terms and links to disambiguation pages to One Aldwych. You give me the feeling that you are marketing guy hired to promote those hotels. But we just need facts, nothing more, nothing less. The Banner talk 21:59, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Savoy Hotel

[edit]

Ever looked up where you went after adding a link 5-star, like you did on Savoy Hotel and several other hotel articles? It brings you to Five star, a disambiguation page. But adding the link is meaningless anyway, as it adds nothing of value to the article. The star rating of hotels is totally irrelevant as it is, at least in my Irish experience, based on the size of rooms and the availability of facilities. It says nothing about how luxurious, well-known or popular a hotel is. In fact, it is a plain peacock term. The Banner talk 22:06, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Banner and have reverted you again. Please do not edit war. If you wish to add a discussion of reviews or reputation of the hotel, you could probably find ample WP:Reliable sources to cite for such a discussion. Please see: How to develop an article. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:27, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did to User talk:The Banner. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. The Banner talk 16:19, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

[edit]

I like to give you some advice about editing articles. For now, I just have a few readings suggestions:

  1. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch
  2. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section
  3. Wikipedia:Neutral point of view

I hope this will help you to understand why I have to revert so many of your edits. The Banner talk 21:08, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
