Work Plan

[edit]

In my work plan I will show how I plan on going about my research project by using various steps needed to complete this process. First I will gather my information about the person who I am researching about and find out almost everything possible so that I can be prepared for whatever. To gather information about the person I am researching I am going to need reliable sources. To find reliable sources is going to take very careful and very specific research methods. I am going to have to apply my knowledge of using the C.S.I. library data base to my advantage when it comes to looking for reliable sources. In the past I have found that there are certain ways of keying in to your research. For example when using the database we have to use key words that we think will appear in the article, book, journals and firsthand accounts of what went on in that time period. From my prior experience I think it is much easier when you give yourself time to find good reliable sources because they can be pretty hard to find and also you want to have as much time possible to get the best results possible. Another way I will go about my research report on Wikipedia is by following the guidelines that Wikipedia has. In order to follow Wikipedia guidelines I cannot have any plagiarism of any sort because that is harming the Wikipedia society as a whole and I don’t want that to happen. I also need to respect other peoples work when peer reviewing. We can critique people with respect and tell them what we think they did wrong instead of making them feel bad. The next step I plan on taking in this research project is to start writing or improve on someone else’s article about the design and digital media subject I am researching about. Again when I am editing I will not harm any of the rules set by Wikipedia because rules have to be followed in order for the structure of Wikipedia to be successful. I also am aware that editors on Wikipedia will try and downgrade my work if I make a mistake and I am ready for whatever the critics have to say. I don’t see a big problem with people critiquing me if it is in the best way possible for me to learn and succeed. I also will incorporate important information in my research just so it can be better for all Wikipedia users and straighter to the bone type of research. I also want people to view my research report with an open mind and to see it in a different perspective than what they would normally do. When people think openly it creates a better environment for everyone. I also hope to learn about others people experience with this project and to see what others have brought into the design and digital media world. In conclusion I will work hard to for the better of Wikipedia.

BKNETS417 You don't speak very concretely about what you are planning to do. You do a good job of reiterating 'the rules' but don't really talk about the page itself: in fact I have no idea which page you are talking about?!? You never talk "about the person who I am researching" and don't specifcally discuss any article. Please do so! Please be more succinct, and concrete. Please do the same with the annotated link list! Please see this fellow student's work for a good example. --Theredproject (talk) 04:11, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dec 1 check in

I'm not seeing any progress since my last comment. Where is your annotated bibliography, and 1000 words added to the article? Feel free to email me if you have questions. --Theredproject (talk) 23:03, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
