Help me!

[edit]

Hi everyone. I've been trying to add to the Wikipedia page based on my town however my information has been deleted on two occasions and I've received threats from other users? What's going on???

Please help me with...

Those are not threats from other users, they are statements regarding your editing patterns. New content in an article must be sourced, and repeatedly adding content without explaining why it's added (or where it came from) is not acceptable. The warnings were posted on your page so that you would (hopefully) understand why your edits were being reverted. I am currently helping you out in IRC, so I shall leave the rest for there. Strabane edits

[edit]

Bmt85, you have fallen into where many newcomers fall, you have added stuff, but haven't cited or referenced it an you edits use essay-like wording. Below are a few links, these should show you what you need.

  • WP:CITE, about citing and referencing
  • WP:RS, how to identify reliable sources
  • WP:NOT, what wikipedia is not

Each of these pages has a relevant talkpage where you may ask for further help and clarification. Murry1975 (talk) 20:49, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Strabane

[edit]

I am not from Strabane. And I simply stated what @Murry1975 has stated -- you must source your edits. There's nothing rude about that. Quis separabit? 23:38, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry you think I could have been more helpful than I was. I welcomed you and referred you to the reading materials in the welcome message that will make you a better editor. I did not cast any aspersions on your intentions. Quis separabit? 00:42, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
