License tagging for Image:Rosa Parks.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rosa Parks.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:Rosa Parks.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rosa Parks.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu Badali 20:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Your edit summaries
[edit]Just a request... Could you expand on your edit summaries a bit? Just putting simply "Added" or "Removed" doesn't really give an adequate summation of what was changed. Dismas|(talk) 15:58, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'd like to second that. You're a good editor but you do need to tell us what you're doing and teh edit summary is the best way. Thanks. asyndeton 16:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- I would again like to ask you to make your edit summaries more explicit. 'Added' tells people nothing about what you have done to the article and is generally unhelpful. You may as well not bother writing an edit summary. You have been asked by two editors to be more helpful; please show enough respect to us, and to this project, to listen to our request. 11:27, 14 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Asyndeton (talk • contribs)
- Thank you. Your new style of summaries is much appreciated. Happy editing. asyndeton 20:21, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Modern Day Fort Sumter.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Modern Day Fort Sumter.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Speedy deletion of Characters in Transformers (film)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Characters in Transformers (film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - arkenstone (talk) 05:30, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Future films
[edit]The guideline says that articles on future films should only exist when they begin shooting. This isn't the case for this film, and if other films exist that don't follow this guideline, please let me know what they are. Such content can be redirected, like with Spider-Man 4 and Jurassic Park IV. I ask you to restore the proposed deletion template and find a more suitable location for the information. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 06:46, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Obi-WanKenobi-2005/Jonathan Bishop
[edit]A tag has been placed on Obi-WanKenobi-2005/Jonathan Bishop requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notability of James Patrick Hall
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on James Patrick Hall, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because James Patrick Hall seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting James Patrick Hall, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Notability of James Patrick Hall
[edit]A tag has been placed on James Patrick Hall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Duffbeerforme (talk) 11:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of James Patrick Hall
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article James Patrick Hall, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- no credited roles in notable productions
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
