Backburner001's Manual of Style Quick Check is a quick reference created to check for compliance to the Wikipedia Manual of Style.

Purpose[edit]

The WP:MoS is a style guide that outlines the design and writing specifications for Wikipedia articles. This quick reference is meant to serve as an aid to Backburner001 and other editors in editing articles to comply with WP:MoS.

Components of the Quick Check[edit]

1. Article titles[edit]

  1. Is the article's title the subject of the first sentence of the article?

2. Headings and subheadings[edit]

  1. Are all headings and subheadings uncapitalized (except for the first word and proper nouns)?
  2. Is the heading or subheading free of special characters, links, articles (a, an, the), and pronouns (you, they)?
  3. Is the heading or subheading unique from other headings or subheadings?
  4. Is the heading or subheading concise?
