Thanks! I have added "That's the Way it Is" as it was the only US top 10 single not mentioned in the article. I have also removed the part about "To Love You More" in the U.S. and Canada. I think that only the most important things should be included in the lead. Besides, "To Love You More" was released in Canada in late 1996 and in the US in mid-1998. It peaked at #15 on the BDS Airplay chart and #11 on the US Airplay chart, but the sources you gave don't support that. I think it'd be better to focus on Japan in this case. I know the importance of citing correctly the sources, I've written 3 FLs. Now the real issue is that you are reverting sourced information because it "is not formated correctly". Just because it is a FA does not mean that a casue of those two URL sources the article will be taked to FAR. Also keep in mind that most IP users never source their information and for once an IP do it, and you revert him/her. OK. You're a blind fan. Dion try to sing in the upper face (the mask), but tight a lot the throat, so the the voice sounds very nasal and throaty. Listen to All by Myself, in the refrain, her voice sounds nasal and tight, and she do the F5 at 3:15, her voice is throay and scratchy. Or listen to her high notes in Next plane out or Be the man or Love Is On the Way Tell Him, A World to believe in, her voice sounds SO NASAL AND TIGHT in these songs. In reality, ALL HER SONGS SOUNDS NASAL. And from Eb5 her voice sounds so throaty and scratchy. Listen to ALL her live of To Love You More. As always, her voice sounds very nasal, and when she does the E5 (on the phrase "We find a way"), she forces her voice, she takes the note with her troath, when you do that on your highest notes (the highest belted note of Dion is the F5), the sound is inevitably forced and scratchy. And when she does the "aaaaaaaaaaay aaaaaaaaaaay" after the E5, she tight the throat, it sounds so nasal. Christina Aguilera also do that, and listen to her song, you'll hear her belting voice is throaty and scratchy. Streisand, Carey, Houston never sounds throaty or scratchy, because they supported their voice with the diaphragm and project the sound in the mask (the upper face). Streisand sometimes tight SLIGHTLY the throat, so she sounds a bit nasal, but she has a great technique. Her voice is strong, bright, rond,vibrant. She has such a great sense of rythm, such a perfect legato, such a breath control. Yes, as Goldman said, Dion "has no problem of accuracy or tempo", yes, as TYN said "She can deliver tricky melismas ...", but her voice is very badly placed. It's thin, nasal, tight, throaty or scratchy, with no resonnance all is in the nose or the throat. I noticed your edits and others' on the celine voice section. you seem to be a celine fan but also level headed

it seems the edits are by a troll. I checked out the links and none of them are accurate. for one I doubt cecilia bartoli or regine crespin ever did an analysis of celine's voice..it's absurd. it seems like someone gave their own analysis of celine's voice and attributed it to sopranos and vocal experts. Well, the sources seem to coincide with WP's policies. I don't understand what you mean by "none of them are accurate." Please elaborate, because you seem to be providing mixed messages, such as your statement, "I think it should be checked out." If you have any qualms with the statements and their accuracy, feel free to use the talk page. As of now, they are all sourced correctly, and I don't see anything that would make the quotes violate Wikipedia's neutrality policy. Also, I try to make the article as non-biased a possible, hence the large revisions from the other user. Other users also do a lot to keep the article featured. I appreciate your concern, but you must seperate sources that you believe are indeed incorrect, with ones that you, or any other user simply don't like personally. Hi, basically a lot (if not most) of the additions by SemiramideSutherland are all fabrications meant to spread his negative view of Celine. The first quote I have an issue with is one he attributes to Andre Tubeauf which says "Music critic, André Tubeuf states, "[...] for all its natural lack of varnish, velvet and richness, this voice can acquire such distinctive colors and timbres as to be unforgettable. However, Dion often exaggerates her nasality for expression or for effect, producing a sound which generally becomes acidic and unsightly"

The user claims this quote came from "Bel canto: a history of vocal pedagogy" by James Stark. There is not a single instance or mention of Celine or even Andre Tubeauf in the book. It is a fabrication. The wikipedia user continues to attribute about 4-5 other quotes to this same book/source, with quotes from opera singers like Regine Crespin, Joan Sutherland, which again i assure you, as you can search through that book on Google books and they are not even mentioned, not even once. It is all a fabrication by this user to preach his personal views on Celine's voice, and it is an elaborate one using sources to pass it off as real. I could change it myself but I wanted to contact some more established members before I take action. Those sources are all real but none of them support any of the quotes he lists, basically = it's all fake. You can see for yourself. French language

Dear BalticPat22, you reverted recently my afterthoughts on this article. As I didn't understand exactly the reason of this revert, I will try to explain you why I added those pieces of information, and I'm sure that we could eventually find an agreement.

Firstly, I have to say that I used a 2010 OIF report as a source of my changes : I dindn't really understand why what I've added is an "Orginal Researsh".

Then, I wanted, in accordance to the 2010 report- I don't know whether you can or not read French, so I will explain it directly to you here -show that the very particularity of French is that it is a language that have, as a world language, relatively few native speakers, but that much more people can speak it as a second or third language. Another specificity is that many people in Africa can converse in French, but cannot read or write it, for the simple reason that they are illiterate. As a consequence, those people cannot be considered as full-fledged francophones, but they are still capable of speaking the language. However, the difficulty is that one cannot really make a trustworthy estimate of them, thus the number of people able to speak French is unkown (as I wrote it in the article yesterday).

Those statements also make sense with the end of the introduction, as a forecast is mentionned : if so many people will be considered as francophones in 2050, it is because by the time, education will be much better organised and present in the African countries; people there will as a consequence be able to speak, write or read the official language of their country properly, and not only their local dialects.

All this makes French a very special major language. Since those important informations were not present in the article, I thought it was a good move to add them. I can understand that the lenght of the paragraph could be reduced to facilitate the reading, but I see no reason in deleting it enterely.

I understand that, but I was trying to abide by Wikipedia's policy on lead sections. While the report was interesting (and maybe noteworthy), I did not find it appropriate or necessary enough to take up an extra paragraph in the lead section, since there are already five paragraphs in the lead to begin with. Secondly, this isn't a discussion about the substance of the article. In other words, don't bring personal information into the conversation. That said, I do speak French, but I think that is wholly irrelevant to the issue at hand. One doesn't need to be conversant in any language(s) in order for that person to be able to edit articles. My other main qualm was that you placed personal wording in the paragraph toward the end, without any edits to support it. That's why I placed "original research" into the space box. Along with grammatical errors, and the sheer length of the paragraph in relation to its relevance, I decided it was necessary to revert it. Feel free to place it into another part of the article, but six paragraphs in the lead section is too much, per WP:LEAD and may overhwhelm the reader with information before they even read the article after the lead section. Anyway, that's why I reverted your edit. I do appreciate the explanation, though. Not too many users have the courtesy to do so. BalticPat22Patrick (talk) 23:47, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

I have declined your 3RR report against User:REGICUAZA. Per the 3RR policy, making multiple reverts in a row, with no intervening edits, counts as a single revert for purpose of counting towards 3RR. This is because some editors prefer to make one big edit that handles all of the changes, while others like to make small, incremental changes. Plus, there's no "edit warring" involved if it's just one user making a bunch of changes. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge

Hi, at Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge we're striving to bring about 10,000 article improvements and creations for the UK and Ireland and inspire others to create more content. In order to achieve this we need diversity of content, in all parts of the UK and Ireland on all topics. Eventually a regional contest will be held for all parts of the British Isles, like they were for Wales and the Wedt Country. We currently have just over 1900 articles and need contributors! Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile!
