August 2016[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Sockpuppetry and edit warring[edit]

I am here to give you one last warning about your edit warring on Dancing with the Stars (U.S. TV series), even if it means getting myself blocked because I have also been edit warring. You are a sockpuppet of 68.108.153.139, which isn't helping your case. I advise you to cease all edit warring now before I report you for such violations. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 23) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Premature additions to Dancing with the Stars articles[edit]

Balto&michael, I notice that you've been trying to add material about the upcoming 24th season of Dancing with the Stars to the main article of the show. It is far too soon for this, and your additions have been reverted and will continue to be reverted.

You've tried to add material prematurely before to DWTS-related articles; in fact, your attempt to create the 23rd season article was redirected because it was too early. Please, stop trying to adjust lists of the dance troupe and others for a season that not only won't start for about two months, but for which there is no reliable information about the dance troupe and which pro dancers will have celebrity partners. If you persist in adding unsourced and otherwise speculative information, or columns or sections for which there is no actual information, there may well be consequences. Thank you for your cooperation. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:31, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that this also applies to the DWTS list articles as well. If you're going to add information, it needs to be have a reliable source included and not be speculation and rumor. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia; there is no rush to post information before it can be reliably confirmed. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:19, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Balto&michael, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 02:59, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Renamer note: Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted. However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc. So please choose another one. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:56, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
