Information icon Hello, I'm Altairisfar. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mud snake, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Southeastern crown snake has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Snake edits

[edit]

Hey, as you can see, Cluebot removed your edit right after you added it back. I re-added it back and copyedited it a little, so it's still there for now.

I did not remove your additions because they are untrue or bogus. However, I could not find a source to verify that they do. I checked both my A Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians of Eastern and Central North America and the page by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on the snake at Outdoor Alabama: Southeastern Crowned Snake, but neither makes a mention of venom. That, of course, doesn't mean that they don't have venom, but I could not confirm it. Everything on Wikipedia must have a source to back it up. It is part one of our core principles, see Wikipedia:Verifiability.

You need to add a source, if you have one but don't know how to add it, just message it to me and I'll add it, whether it's from a website, regular old not-online book, and etc. If it remains unsourced for long, it will have to be removed eventually. You can also learn more about adding online sources or book sources by using the Template:Cite web or Template:Cite book pages. Thanks. Altairisfar (talk) 13:46, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
