October 2011[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Pain, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. I don't know what you think you're doing, but whatever it is, it isn't helpful. Can you explain what you are trying to accomplish? Looie496 (talk) 21:48, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

hi i just wanted to try to edit some content thats all, why is that bad?

The introduction to the Pain article is the result of a lot of discussion. Throwing in without discussion a completely different version (lifted directly from the NIH web site) is not a productive approach. If you think NIH's version is better than ours, you might be right, but please say so by opening a discussion on the talk page of the article, Talk:Pain -- don't just keep reverting. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 23:06, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

okay I think this altered version sounds better and flows more, what do you guys think?

Warning regarding edit warring[edit]

This is a formal notice: please familiarize yourself with WP:3RR, which states that continually reverting a page to your own prefered form is grounds for blocking an account. If you make any further reversions of the Pain article without getting consensus for them on the talk page of the article, I will file a request for this account to be blocked from editing. 3RR notice[edit]

I hereby notify you that I have filed a complaint about your edit-warring at WP:3RRN. Looie496 (talk) 21:04, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a short time for your disruption caused by edit warring by violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
