Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cebuano language into Maguindanao language. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 11:18, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Creating userboxes

[edit]

Hi. You seem to be currently interested in creating userboxes. While cultural background and language infoboxes like Template:User mdh should be in the Template namespace, ones about political beliefs or lifestyle are generally not seen as very helpful for collaboration, and should be created in the User namespace instead. See Wikipedia:Userboxes#Namespace and Wikipedia:Userbox migration for details. Please consider moving the ones you've created to subpages under your user page. Thanks. --Paul_012 (talk) 06:46, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the liberty to move the userboxes under your user page, and updated your user page accordingly. I've also tagged the leftover redirects for deletion. You can revert the moves if you disagree. --Paul_012 (talk) 04:54, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Maguindanao language, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Banga and Esperanza. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hariboneagle927. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of active separatist movements in Asia, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. On supposed/alleged Maguindanao independence movement Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:19, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maguindanao language

[edit]

The number of native speakers being cited in the infobox of Maguindanao language is inaccurate. Look at the source being cited, it talks about ethnicity not about the number of speakers per se. Also you removed the 2020 census of the PSA regarding the number of households still speaking the language without referring to the article's talk page.
