New Star Trek movie Enterprise image[edit]

I'm not a copyright expert, but my suspicion is that you weren't allowed to edit the picture in the first place. It certainly doesn't pass into your ownership because you made those changes. The matter might be different if you started a new picture from scratch, but most of the original picture is still retained.

300px is a customary size for fair use images on Wikipedia because it is close to the default thumbnail size. The size reduction won't harm the display of the image when used in an article, but it won't be possible to grab it and use it in your website, mod, novel, etc., which is, as I understand it, the whole point of fair use limitations. — Mütze (talk) 10:50, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
