Hello MER-C, the site which you've banned doesn't belong to me. Today I've just added 3 RELATED links! I.e. at the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Halford I've added the link to profile of this soccer player, cause I like him and Sheffield United! Don't believe it is appropriate page? Visit http://randrworld.com/grego/

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MER-C 08:07, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue spamming Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Syrthiss (talk) 12:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't spam, I add only related links. You can block me if you want but it would be not fair!

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Greg Halford, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.

Last time you added a link to this site, rather than giving a final warning I explained (below) why it wasn't acceptable. I'm sorry you're unwilling to accept Wikpedia guidelines. Struway2 (talk) 09:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

Hi, I've just removed a link that you added to Greg Halford, because it runs counter to the guidance on linking at WP:ELNO. In particular, (point 10) we shouldn't link to social networking sites, and (point 6) we shouldn't link to sites that require payment or registration to view the relevant content. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 12:08, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

August 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to the page Vice do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. You may wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
