March 2009[edit]

Since you have now registered, what I was going to post to the anonymous user page will go here.

No, articles still need citations to be encyclopedic. You're correct that a personal letter cannot be cited - and all I'm asking for on the Bollier one is some evidence that the man exists as a physician in a published article. The responsibility falls to you to provide this - I have searched medical boards in the U.S. and Canada. With regards to the journal, I am highly knowledgeable about the publishing field and while, if this person exists (again, I have yet to see any proof of this), even if he is the next designated editor, until he officially takes over according to the journal, the previous editor is the editor. Right now what you are providing basically original research, which is not allowed according to the wikipedia policy - see WP:NOR. Again, provide an independent, published citation, and we're good. regarding Thomas Bollier[edit]

Although I don't like your user-credo (it is decidedly un-wiki), I see no harm in providing a copy of the deleted article which you may find here; perhaps the better way to go would be deletion review anyway (and FYI, the user above was not the one who deleted the article). Cheers. Lectonar (talk) 06:55, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm, the point in undeleting wasn't that you should recreate the article on the spot; perhaps a little help can come from this here. Have a look especially at the sections about notability and sourcing. I've redeleted the article; work on the one in your userspace at your leisure, and let me know when you're done with it. Cheers. Please do not add hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did in the article Thomas Bollier. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please don't disrupt Wikipedia in an attempt to test our ability to detect and remove such material. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you. Hairhorn (talk) 19:51, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Thomas Bollier[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Thomas Bollier. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Bollier. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Specify?[edit]

I'm not sure what you are requesting with the "specify" tags? Could you update at Talk:Colby College what the problem is? (John User:Jwy talk) 20:49, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
