User 205.143.222.10
[edit]Hey Bbatsell,
I think you were too quick to dismiss the report on 205.143.222.10 for the Oklahoma City page. This has been an ongoing thing by the same guy on two different IP addresses. It goes against the community-agreed content of the page, and even replaces things that are commonly named. Please reconsider that position.
Thanks --Claygate 04:47, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the beer!
[edit]Great photo! Oddly enough, I was just about to do the same thing, but you beat me to it. BTW, I gave some of your free beer to Kate in honor of her reaching the milestone of 10,000 edits. I hope you don't mind. We should get the crew together to celebrate your sysop-hood as well as her amazing edit count!!! Johntex\talk 17:26, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
I need Help!
[edit]I need help with an article I wrote. It's here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure_To_Deliver_Shares_%28FTD%29#.27.27.27Summary_.27.27.27 What do I need to do to get it on WIKI? I'm too new to know what the flag warning messages mean as far as action that needs to be taken. --Tommytoyz 02:04, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
World Financial Group
[edit]I can not believe your ignorance on World Financial Group. I have never read anything so incorrect in my life. Why have you let one single persons perspective on a company rule the way you have edited the page. You want to talk about vandalism, lets talk about someone that keeps reverting a page back to mere lies. You allow it to start out saying it is multi level, which is impossible for a securities company to be multi level. It is against NASD and SEC standards. Yet you have allowed that statement Bbatsell.
World Lending Group has nothing to do with World Financial Group and if you read your article closely you will see how you have conterdicted yourself about World Lending Group.
How could you allow third party individuals of hate right an article about a certaion company?? What would you find if you went to fordsucks.com or walmartsucks.com. Should you allow the people of those sites to be the only opinion expressed here on wikipedia???
We need to get this cleaned up and straighten up your facts, because as of right now you have none of the correct. There have been great various npov things written, and you people on your high horses keep reverting them back to nonsense.
What needs to be done to get this fixed??? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.190.16.177 (talk • contribs) .

LFHS Kids being blocked...
[edit]I would just like to say, it is probably just one or two people at our highschool editing Wikipedia articles and putting foolish content in them, and I am sorry that they have given our high school a bad reputation.
Fixing my mistake
[edit]Thank you for making the change. I wish you had given me about a minute more to fix my mistake. I was aware of the issue with the "help" and what issue it might cause on other userpages. I went to save the fixed page and noticed it had already been ported over. This was momentarily confusing and intimidating. Some of us are a little slower fixing code than say, spelling. This is kindly meant and no further comment is necessary. I appreciate the speedy response to what, sadly, must have appeared to be a hoax call for help! grin. Noirdame 19:13, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

User: 198.20.32.254
[edit]Hi, it has recently been brought my attention that user: 198.20.32.254 has been blocked for vandalism. The problem is that this IP belongs to a school board with more than 50 Schools, I believe it is unacceptable to block entire school boards from editing. When I looked at this IP's edit summary there were a lot of useful contributions Wikipedia. There is no doubt that this IP was responsible for some vandalism, this is what you would expect from a IP that represents thousands of Public computers. It is in the best interest of the wiki community that these students be allowed to contribute. It would obviously be acceptable if this IP was blocked for a hour at a time when it is responsible for vandalism, but not for extended periods of time. Thanks Mjal 21:39, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- This IP has a history of vandalism, and blocks - most which are for 24 hours or less, consistent with Wikipedia:Blocking policy. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find even one instance of an edit made from this IP that hasn't been vandalism. Yankees76 20:02, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
GPA
[edit]Hey, I was wondering if you could help me with something. I realize that time-wise, you're much more devoted. You obviously help out a lot more than I can, seeing as I'm a Full-IB junior. But that's besides the point. I was wanting to know if you would help me with having a format to my talk page, that is similar to yours. I loathe the idea of simply copying your format, because there are some changes I would make, and no doubt you spent a while making it yourself, and I feel it would be agaisnt the idea of Wikipedia to just take it.

A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there - I saw that you uploaded that Bob Schneider picture. It is a nice, moody picture (I like the red) but I can hardly see Bob at all in the shot. Is it possible that we could come up with a picture that is easier to see? MrCheshire 19:27, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

I was about to block the user indefinitely, but it seems you got to him first. Would you mind if I blocked him indefinitely? It's clear from his contributions that he's not going to make any valued contributions to the encyclopedia any time soon. All of his edits are just gibberish, personal attacks, etc. Anyway, I just wanted to run this by you before I did anything. Nishkid64 00:00, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I'm requesting your help as admin because i am unsure how to progress in helping to mediate between three revert-warring editors. Basically, there is a dispute over the London Action Resource Centre page between an old member (here on wiki as NickW) and two members of the centre who were expelled for disruptive behaviour (here as Harrypotter and paki.tv).
My view is set out here and whilst im trying to work through the steps of dispute resolution, the more i get into it, the more this seems like a case of vandalism rather than a POV dispute.
But i would like a second opinion on that and if you have time, i would welcome some comments on the LARC talk page. If Harrypotter and paki.tv are indeed making disruptive edits, can you help try to bring them into line? If you dont have time, could you perhaps point me in the direction of next best enquiry? I have already made a request for comment, but the only editor who has offered help over the course of the last week is now just as confused as me [2]!
I am asking you and Grandmasterka for advice simply because you both seem like fairly objective admins. Cheers, Mujinga 01:33, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Looking into this, but I'm very much unacquainted with the subject, so it's going to require some reading. I'll post once I've got a handle on things :) —bbatsell ¿? 01:42, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I just received a message from you asking me not to suggest some relevant external links that I find very useful. I thought this was the point of Wikipedia?
I do not see the issue with the link that I suggested as there are numerous examples of links to websites similar in nature throughout Wikipedia. What sets the links I suggested apart from these other examples? And what gives you the right to call the links I'm suggesting "spam"?
You blocked this user a few days ago. Since then, xe put this on his talk page. To the extent that the message conveys any meaning at all, it seems like a declaration that xe is going to continue vandalizing our pages related to neopaganism. JChap2007 02:11, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Phaedriel
[edit]Well, I think it may be better the other way around. Yes, there is no confirmation, but as far as I know, Phaedriel is not a very common username. Plus, she claims that the miscarriage was big deal, and she is really sad about it, and it may help her if she doesn't have that template there to remind her. But, that's just what I think. Complaint
[edit]i have never been to wikipedia. i have seen the kids here. i am not all thinking it is funny that you have done what you did when as you can read by the peoples postings to me this is clearly harassement. you think its fun because your an "admin" That's great, now show me where to file a complaint against an admin for not using Nuetral point of view and Right to Vanish, as well as harassment and assisting sock puppets. YOU are the rewason there appears to be so many damn kids on this website, because of people just like yoursaelf, you don't have the maturity to even look into a subject before just looking at people's post counts and locking a subject. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.14.118.45 (talk • contribs) 02:53, December 27, 2006.
- 3rr doesnt count towards vandilism, i suggest you start reading your little wikipedia handbook again, I have a wikipedia master sitting next to me who showed me this site. The page you restored is a libel page at any rate which according to wikipedia is to be removed from Wikipedia as soon as they are spotted.
- You really are a pitiful admin, I can't wait till Redvers gets home and takes care of you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.14.118.45 (talk • contribs) 02:56, December 27, 2006.

Undo button
[edit]Yes, yes, that's what it was. But I've only seen it that one time. How come? It's rather convenient. And, I tried the mouse over on the new thing and it didn't offer me an undo option. I'm computer inept enough that I find reverting vandalism and tests to be too time consuming, the undo made it fast--otherwise I'm just going to stop reverting vandalism, as it's sometimes all I do.
