Steam locomotive names[edit]

Hi there. I couldn’t help but notice that you have changed the pages of WMSR 734 and 1309 in an attempt to make them represent their original operators. Well I will say that I am not totally against this. I just think you should know that there are plenty of other train pages out there that are named after their current owners. Great Smoky Mountains Railroad 1702, U.S. Sugar 148, Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad 425, and Valley Railroad 40, just to name a few. @WillJSimpson: There is a proposed renaming of the 1309 page. I would appreciate if you could insert a few cents over on the talk page. Davidng913 (talk) 01:15, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is really unnecessary to redirect the 734 and 1309 pages, in favor of their original owners. I would much rather these pages remain named after these locomotives’ current owners and operators, and people find out where they came from by reading the history sections. Also, by redirecting the 734 page, it would be like redirecting the PRR 7002 page to PRR 8063. Someone who likes train writing (talk) 16:01, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
