New Heading 'Digital Slow Violence'[edit]

Hello, I'm MacBook2024 and I'm proposing to add a new section titled 'Digital Slow Violence' to the article entitled 'Slow Violence'. This section would thus be on how digital media interfaces with slow violence, on how new media is affecting environmental activism and the way in which the public is alerted to the gradual destruction of their surroundings. I think this could add a contemporary dimension to the concept of slow violence. I have outlined the main points and await your feedback or additional input toward the drafting of this article. I would welcome further collaboration in the elaboration of this article. MacBook2024 (talk) 04:31, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I am just making broad ideas so far so I like your concentration on that direct and contemporary issue. I apologize the sandbox is so cluttered at the moment, but I welcome any input. From what it sounds like of your approach, it sounds like some of it could be connected to forms of resistance as well. Thanks for any input! Szelinsky (talk) 23:17, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
doubly mentioned input, oops Szelinsky (talk) 23:18, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Szelinsky. Yes that sounds great. Yes it does sound like it would be part of resistance. I will add some of my section there tonight. MacBook2024 (talk) 05:38, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, along with attempts at general edits to the introduction and description sections, I aim to add to a couple of the example sections. This may include a colonialism/capitalism type inclusion (I am still working out how to properly include topics I have been researching), and additions related to resistance. I'll go ahead and move my bibliography back; I had just put it there for reference as I worked without knowing the number of people also working on this sandbox. Like I am sure many of you are, I'm new to this, so thanks for your understanding! Please continue to let me know how I can be of help if applicable. Hello to MacBook2024, Szelinsky, and Zmbois! Just letting you know that I've completed my Peer Review for your sandbox edits. Thanks so much!

Structuring my heading and sub headings.[edit]

I have added a few new sub headings to go along with my main topic "Digital Slow Violence" to the article entitled 'Slow Violence'. I have added a definition to what digital violence can be defined as, I have added a case study and an example of digital violence. MacBook2024 (talk) 04:21, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looks great so far! Szelinsky (talk) 03:54, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding the sandbox.[edit]

I have added a new sub heading to go along with my main topic "Digital Slow Violence" to the article entitled 'Slow Violence. I have added a section about 'Digital Challenges and Surveillance Capitalism' I have also added a photo to Digital Activism in Combatting Slow Violence. Looks sincerely really great! Perhaps eliminating "us" verbiage would be good for the last paragraph of "What is digital violence?". Additionally, maybe a double check on neutrality and less emotionality would be good to further professionalize it!
Things have been busy lately but I will be starting to finalize some of my ideas when I have the time to write them! Szelinsky (talk) 02:21, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Szelinsky. I will definitely review my content and make it more neutral. That's great keep up the good work! 2601:1C0:4D81:1C40:4E8:6637:83A2:8987 (talk) 01:48, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
