Minor category[edit]

Hello, Bennett1203,

Please rethink your idea of having a category specifically for editors under the age on 18. It would be nominated for CFD deletion discussion pretty much immediately. While Wikipedia might feel like a safe environment, in the past we have had problems with malicious editors and visitors targeting young editors for harassment. It's unlikely that these editors would visit all of these editors' User pages so they are not likely to run into editors who self=identify as minors who have a simple userbox on their User page. But having a category specifically listing all of our young editors would just be a disaster waiting to happen for visitors who do not have the best interests of these editors at heart. I can see why you want to be able to connect with other young editors but I just think this would be a bad, bad idea. Thank you. Liz ^{Read! Talk!} 01:24, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
