First Battle of the Marne[edit]

Hello, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, your recent edits at First Battle of the Marne contain a ton of errors. I have fixed some of them (you can see my changes here) but I'd like you to fix the remainder, please. The main issues are:

  • redundant/unnecessary links (only the first iteration of a word or phrase needs to be linked, and links like von Moltke are not appropriate, as it's not the person's full name, so they should all be removed)
  • links like Bulow’s are never appropriate, as it wouldn't be the title of a page
  • punctuation after citations instead of before (<ref>Sentence.</ref> is correct. <ref>Sentence</ref>. is not.)
  • Wikipedia doesn't use phrasing like September 3rd; September 3 is correct

Some of these are more minor issues than others, but the onus is really on the contributing editor to comply as much as possible with the Manual of Style. I'd appreciate it if you'd make the changes yourself. If I can help with anything, just let me know, Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 05:01, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Having not heard back from you, I went ahead and fixed the errors. It really is for everyone's benefit if you learn proper formatting and linking conventions, going forward. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 03:28, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
