Speedy deletion request declined

[edit]

I have declined your request to speedy delete Fatih Rıfat Ülküman. The article is cohesive and does not meet the criteria for deletion as patent nonsense.

If you have concerns about the article, please explain them at the talk page for the article. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 14:41, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vikipedide doğruluk ve objektif politikalarını savunan tüm Türk Vikipedistlere

[edit]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.224.30.11 (talk) 00:48, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

[edit]

Please restore the English citation for Turkey in the infobox on designation as a terrorist organization. Your citation in Turkish cannot be read as there is no translation. I assume this is a formal government designation, is it? Would you also compose your footnote properly using one of the standard Wikipedia cite templates on the Edit page. Half of the information in this citation is missing. Please let me know what your citation is and what it says. Thanks. --P123ct1 (talk) 20:57, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

But the previous citation was also not English. It was from a Turkish newspaper. I changed it to government official source.--Benvewikilerim (talk) 04:17, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Benvewikilerim: It was from a Turkish newspaper, but it was in English, not Turkish. That is the point. Could you restore the footnote and tell me what your citation is and what it says, please? It looks like a government document and this would be important to support the designation. Would you also please convert your footnote using the standard Wikipedia templates? These details may not look important but I can assure you they are, so I would be grateful if you could give me the information requested. Saying that a country has formally designated a group as a terrorist organization has to be backed up carefully. --P123ct1 (talk) 06:30, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Benvewikilerim: Here are some instructions on how to do the footnote:-

Composing footnotes using the WP cite templates
(Summary of WP:FOOTNOTES section 3.1.)
Please note that bare URL footnotes – i.e. footnotes that contain only the website http address – are susceptible to link-rot, which means that if the website moves to a new domain with a new URL, the link will be broken and readers will be unable to read the citation.
  1. First put the cursor at the point in the edit text where you want the footnote to go, then click "Cite" in the edit strip at the top of the Edit Page, then click "Templates" on the left, and a drop-down menu appears.
  2. Choose "cite web" or "cite news" (for articles and websites), "cite book" or "cite journal", click and a box comes up.
  3. Fill in the all details of the citation, then click "Preview" and "Show parsed preview" to see it looks right. (To correct anything, correct the box entries, then click the two "Previews" again.) In "cite book" remember to add the page number(s) of the book.
  4. Click "Insert" and the citation automatically goes into the edit text. (It may not go in at the exact point where the cursor is if you use Firefox or Chrome.)

Hope this helps. --P123ct1 (talk) 11:05, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
