A tag has been placed on Overload(band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

The Verals[edit]

THE VERALS

The Verals are an up and coming Rock/Alternative 3 piece that are undoubtedly one of best acts YME has seen to date. Considering the met office had forecast for a snowy Tuesday night, the turnout set for these three young lads would be nothing short of a full house. The Verals tune up, amps ready…as a crowd gathers around the stage with curiosity. People who have seen these guys play before know what’s coming. For the whole night has respectively consisted of some great acoustic solo writers but now…its time to move it up a gear. Or two. Maybe 6th gear with a dash of nitrous oxide. A little indicator of what these are capable of…considering their age.

People who know what’s coming as sly grins form across faces, as The Verals rip into their first track. Their new material in particular is sounding very tight. Watching drummer Curt is entertainment value alone. ‘No Control’ in particular shows his love-hate relationship with the house drum kit rather seemingly, his hair flying everywhere. Jack (on bass) delivered a strong performance, whilst Kane’s guitar solo’s left musicians alone in disbelief, not to mention the crowd. The lads end the set with stimulation, as the last few notes fade; a strong reminder of what raw talent Sheffield can produce.

On a personal level if anyone does get the chance to see these guys it is a no brainer. Every musician can agree that your first band is somewhat of a learning curve to writing and performing music. These guys haven’t hit GCSE. Great show lads, we’ll see you again soon. Sincerly, YME
