[edit]

Could you please fill in the edit summary with each edit, as to why you are making a change. This allows other editors to determine motive when figures (as well as other material) are changed, often done by vandals. Thanks. Student7 (talk) 13:32, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Vista Courthouse.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:58, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Civic Center Drive

[edit]

It is Escondido Avenue, not Civic Center Drive. If it's been changed we need to see a source. The street name was changed as of May 1, 2010.. see google maps- http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Vista,+CA&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Vista,+San+Diego,+California&gl=us&ei=OHxHTKHtK83PngeZj5j8Aw&ved=0CBoQ8gEwAA&ll=33.187128,-117.288837&spn=0.056603,0.10849&t=h&z=13

Also, this is your third revert, meaning that you are close to breaking WP:3RR. You can get blocked for this. --Rschen7754 22:44, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please be careful next time. It appears you are correct [1] but your edits broke the table. If you are not familiar with table syntax, please consult the help pages. --Rschen7754 22:58, 21 July 2010 (UTC).[reply]
Why can I get blocked? I have done numerous edits before and never got any block warning. All I was trying to do was switch 'Emerald Drive' which is listed as being in Oceanside to Vista.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Berwil 92083 (talkcontribs)
It's not the editing that is bad; it's continually reverting to your version of the article without explanation. Please read WP:EW. Also, using edit summaries is helpful. --Rschen7754 23:06, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Would you fix the table for me then? I would appreciate that. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Berwil 92083 (talkcontribs)

It's already been done. Please remember to use edit summaries in your edits and to check this page as soon as you see the "You have new messages" header. --Rschen7754 23:21, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on California State Route 78. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Rschen7754 22:45, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive. You will be blocked from editing the next time you add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Vista, California.   — Jeff G. ツ 01:13, 22 July 2010 (UTC). what is the inappropriate link? I only added the link to an amusement park.[reply]

I wish to be unblocked from editing. I was told I would be blocked if I added inappropriate external links. I only added a link to a family fun park, Boomers. How is that considered inappropriate. I am appealing the block.

It does not appear that you are blocked. You are free to continue. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 02:27, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A friendly note

[edit]

Please pardon us for the warnings above. We have a number of recent-changes patrollers who scan for and revert recent edits that may fall into a number of categories ranging from outright vandalism, to policy violations, to simple formatting errors. Unfortunately, these tools also tend to generate somewhat impersonal notifications to the contributors whose edits are being reverted. I've reviewed your edits and have come to the conclusion that you are one of the good guys.

I'm not sure why you got the edit-war notification. I don't think two dissimilar edits to one article qualifies. As for the external links, please take a look at the Wikipedia external links guidelines on what external sites should be linked or not links. There's a lot a gray area and editors may often disagree. In this case I think the "(avoid #13) sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject" applies. The amusement park site would be appropriate for a Wikipedia page on that amusement park, but may not be for an article on the town. That said, I think the warning above was a bit extreme.

In summary, your contributions are welcome and I hope you continue. Cheers. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 02:25, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much Tom.. you are also one of the good guys!!

Brad Hawpe

He's listed as an OF on the Padres' roster, so that's where we list him. --Muboshgu (talk) 02:50, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Check the roster again, he's listed as an infielder.

I took the photo myself and released it into public domain. It is and already has been posted as being public domain.

Hanigan

[edit]

Regarding your recent edits to Ryan Hanigan, you did not provide a citation that this trade is officially completed. Per WP:SPORTSTRANS, breaking news reports based on anonymous sources should not be written as if they are unconditional facts. Please discuss on the article talk page if you disagree in lieu of edit warring. Alternatively, cite a reliable source that the trade is official. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 06:55, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Discospinster. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Template:San Diego Padres roster  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ... discospinster talk 02:24, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Padres rosters

[edit]

I noticed that you removed {{San Diego Padres roster}} on San Diego Padres and added the roster data directly into the article. Templates like Template:San Diego Padres roster are transcluded so that there aren't multiple copies of the same data, in this case the Padres roster, to maintain. Please limit your roster changes to the template. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 06:58, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
