Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at New York City Fire Department. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. ok i need a place to drop in lots of info knowledge i have into a page lets say example fdny / new York city fire department and a lot of info missing what people actually look for and those who have experience with wiki and good writers will make it nice and insert it into the page as I'm not the best writer far from it and zero experience using actually i read allot for years wiki but not as a logged in user and i decided to share info with world by placing it in wiki it just takes the right moment and right time to be able to put it here so how about adding at each page a draft page near read edit view history so can drop in info with images audio small footage clip or gif etc. with charts pie's will be fantastic and reference links and btw i have no idea how to create tags and have zero patience to read instructions besides they can send it to me email google drive video or nice layout cause as of now its too complicated going from link to link distracted takes way too long.
i expected from thousands who r familiar with fdny and know a better English wring than me will correct my stuff instantly but disappointed that they treat me as vandalism
appreciate u writing to me
thanks so much BetterThen ever (talk) 21:53, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. As the message I left you above explains, you can click on that "your sandbox" to add all the content you wish, evidently bearing in mind all the Wikipedia policies regarding copyright, reliable sources, etc. When you are happy with the result, you can then, as per the previous message, request advice at the Teahouse, where experienced users will offer their feedback and help you further. Happy editing! --Technopat (talk) 22:01, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i want to create pages, want yo know where my draft pages are. so i can share it email my friends the links so they can help me make it a success, as i know some of my friends for instance some buff's what have a interest in this and would donate time for society where can we join some article or draft pages or pages in a article what we want to edit build with more links additional pages etc.

thanks so so much
want to know briefly what's the difference between draft or sandbox ?
after creating in sandbox will i be able when its ready move it to article ?
can i edit a article in my sandbox ?
i hope I'm not too much bothering u as the instruction's is so long and much i simply don't understand that's hoe it is i write long and want to read to the point haha that's my nature working on myself to improve sorry and appreciate u explaining me BetterThen ever (talk) 22:09, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK, so if you click on the red "your sandbox" above, you can start editing your draft right away. When you've finished, before hitting the "Publish changes" button, you can double-check your draft by hitting the "Show preview" button and then publish. Your friends are welcome to see and modify the content at any time (Just copy-paste the link (url) for them.) As I commented above, you can also get feedback from experienced users at the Teahouse, and they can convert your draft into a stand-alone article or recommend that you simply add your content to an existing article. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 22:26, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, 2023 Union Square riot. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Also, please refrain from adding original research to any article. Wikipedia relies on verifiable information from reliable sources. Thank you, PantheonRadiance (talk) 06:05, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

wow thanks so so much for making me aware of the talk page wow it should've be on the right side near edit i would know of it earlier thanks again.

oh wow why did you erase everything i added ? please did you read it at all ? I've put great sources just i still don't know how to put it professional so my entire work goes in trash please no please. it takes away my push to come share add info on wiki BetterThen ever (talk) 06:25, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can assure you your comments were read, and that anything of value will be added to the article. Just please take the advice you were given and in the future only use the article talk page to discuss possible changes. Also be aware that nothing can be added unless it is backed up by a reliable source, such as a newspaper, magazine or journal article. Police/fire communications are not acceptable sources of information, and YouTube only marginally so, since these are considered primary sources (not good for our purposes) and original research. StonyBrook babble 10:24, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize, but it wasn't because I necessarily thought your efforts were in vain. More so, I felt that the info could've been incorporated in the article had you perhaps also added reliable sourcing to justify your edits. I would have tried to retain as much as I could, but finding such sources would've taken a considerably longer time for me. Since no other editor seemed to want to add on to your edits, I felt it would have been easier to omit them for the time being, at least until more sources were found to retain any info. Thanks, PantheonRadiance (talk) 22:45, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
