July 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm MichaelMaggs. I noticed that you recently removed content from Balloon release without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Balloon release, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Balloon release, you may be blocked from editing. Code Pending (talk) 00:20, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Who wrote this awful warning message? My edits aren't disruptive. There is no defense for the damage caused by balloon releases, and defending them isn't balanced. Do you really think that killing even one sea turtle or albatross is ok? If you want a balanced article then don't let the money-motivated puff piece from the balloon industry go first on this page. Talk to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bettt (talkcontribs) 00:42, July 19, 2021 (UTC)

As it clearly states, Code Pending left that warning, and it was well deserved in my opinion. Meters (talk) 05:36, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at Wikipedia:Teahouse ‎. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. Enough. User:Pigsonthewing wrote Balloon release and he included a substantial, sourced "Opposition" section right from the start. Calling him a "balloon industry shill" is a personal attack. You've broken WP:3RR, and you've been pointed to WP:BRD. WP:RGW, WP:ADVOCACY, WP:POV, and WP:EW among other things. Now you can add WP:NPA. Discuss your edits on the article's talk page or leave this alone. Meters (talk) 05:34, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
