Manga emotions image[edit]

I went ahead and translated the image for you. The English version is now at Image:Manga emotions-EN.jpg. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. --tjstrf talk 00:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much! --Beyond silence 11:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I want also to thank you. I have added several comments on the manga talk page, where Sympho's drawing was recently placed. I want to suggest, and explain why on the manga talk page, that the image be moved to Manga iconography. Timothy Perper (talk) 17:18, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see you put Sympho's drawing on the Manga iconography article. Thanks very much. I will now remove it from the Manga page, for the reasons discussed on the Manga talk page. Timothy Perper (talk) 21:35, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly we can discuss it. I won't do anything until we have consensus. Timothy Perper (talk) 21:48, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Carmina Burana sound clip[edit]

Regarding your continued placement of this clip in the "Instrumentation" section, as I pointed out in my edit summary, this section is simply the wrong place for the clip. I don't object to the clip itself, just to where you chose to plunk it down in the article. And I'm afraid it's your responsibility to find the appropriate place for the clip, not mine. Generally, things like this tend to go at the bottom of articles; look for other articles on pieces of music here that have sound clips attached for a guide. +ILike2BeAnonymous 18:24, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Than take it to the External links, don't delete and destroy other's work! It's harder, but better. Thanks --Beyond silence 10:13, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A thousand apologies[edit]

I just checked and found out that I had made a mistake. If you go to Wikipedia talk:Userboxes/New Userboxes you'll see that underneath your Star Trek Voyager userbox is the Spinal tap userbox. I originally thought that it was you who created it but now I see that it was User:I am Paranoid. I should have created it under his name, not yours, but I didn't check properly.

I'll fix everything up and put a quick deletion notice on the userbox on your userspace, as well as re-create the one that Paranoid had wanted.

Again, many apologies.

Fair use rationale for Image:Ennio_Morricone-The_Good,_The_Bad_And_The_Ugly.ogg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ennio_Morricone-The_Good,_The_Bad_And_The_Ugly.ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:41, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Michael_Nyman-Gattaca-The_Other_Side.ogg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Michael_Nyman-Gattaca-The_Other_Side.ogg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Ferenc Gyurcsány[edit]

Regarding the content dispute, the very first sentence of WP:V says "the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth" (emphasis in the original). I have not the faintest idea what you mean by "proven" anyway; your own opinion is, as likely as not, based on the same kind of secondary sources as anyone else's. As to your message, WP:TALK tells you to use English, while WP:NPA suggests you shouldn't be calling me "apukám", not even if I behaved as one unfamiliar with the verifiability policy. Finally, if you take a look at the page history, you'll see that none of the references you consider inappropriate were added by me, and thus it is incorrect to attribute them to me ("hivatkozol"). In fact I simply restored what you had deleted without sufficient justification. KissL 17:13, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please read that word reliable before word sources. Some your statement's is not verified (or proven or bizonyított) so your reference is not reliable, that holds personal opinion. So these statements will be removed. Rethink, thanks --Beyond silence 18:23, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • No single person is entitled to decide which sources can be considered reliable. Similarly, nobody is entitled to decide what will or will not be removed. This includes yourself. Providing an actual (specific) argument as to why a certain statement is incorrect, or a certain reference is unreliable, will therefore probably have better results than acting as the supreme authority over the article. Furthermore, this is the second time I'm telling you to stop trying to present things as if the statements and references in question were added by me, since they were not. "Rethink, thanks" KissL 13:26, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • If your ask from me don't delete your statements, than don't delete my statements. --Beyond silence 15:04, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion - Cyrodiil map.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion - Cyrodiil map.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. What the problem with

Topography of Morocco

? I don't find anything about it at the talk page! The problem gone from the dispute border or what? --Beyond silence 08:49, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Beyond silence. The issue of the maps has been discussed for a long time as you may have noted in the talk page and its archive. There was a concensus reached that the main map has to be [Image:LocationMorocco striped.png] while having [Image:3 maps morocco.PNG] in the "Administrative divisions" section. That was a middle ground for all parties who participated at the debate.
Now, we can use another image [Image:Modis morocco lrg.jpg] in the "Geography" section instead of the one we are talking about. Thanks for your understanding. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 09:24, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Picture at display device[edit]

I don't understand the picture you added to display device. What should it represent? I think it's misleading, because changing numbers is not usual feature of digital displays, and furthermore, it's not obvious what number is changed to what or what is actually going on in this picture. I restored it...I normally wait until the old revs are deleted before marking the review as complete. I agree with the review, by the way, the usages are perfectly valid.

Gyurcsány Feri[edit]

Helló. Nem érdkel, hogy kinek van igaza, hogy valóban " Under his office, Hungary suffered a high-profile athletic doping scandal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.[citation needed]" vagy sem. A lényeg: HÜLYESÉGEKEN vitatkoztok, mind a ketten, miközben a LÉNYEG kimarad: semmit sem ADTOK HOZZÁ a cikkhez. Egy kibaszott soron vitatkoztok. Normális ez? Én írtam a hülye cikk kb. 90%-át, és ti egyetlen hülye mondaton vitatkoztok! Mintha az számítana! Inkább írjatok valami olyat, ami HOZZÁAD a cikkhez! Hihetetlen. Nektek csak egymás baszogatás a fontos?? --Msoos 10:25, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Main street-Dubrovnik-2.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Main street-Dubrovnik-2.jpg is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Main street-Dubrovnik-2.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. I appreciate your quick response. I have withdrawn my nomination and removed the tags from the sample and the pages where it is used. I wanted to let you know that the Guideline on Music Samples says that they should be less than 10% of the track and less than 30 seconds (whichever is shorter). In this case, most sources I'm finding say that the track is 3:40 (220 seconds), so it would be nice to get the track down to about 22 seconds if possible. ~ BigrTex 01:30, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: cutting important content[edit]

Hi. I originally cut that because, while of course completely free media, it lacked context within the article at that time. It was always my intention to reinsert if possible, with appropriate third-party commentary, but I got a little sidetracked on other improvements. If it's to be included, to avoid the impression that it's our interpretation of what's important, it would need said commentary. However, I guess it's not doing any harm at the moment, so I'll hold off removing it and see what I can rustle up to support it when I return from my holiday. Thanks for uploading Image:Inquisition War by Ian Watson.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:03, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Thehardgoodbye.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Thehardgoodbye.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Final Warning[edit]

It is obvious that others have told you of our policies, but you willfully disregard them, acting like you are above them for whatever reason. This is your last warning.

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at User talk:Uzo20, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. — dαlus Contribs 20:20, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Mszp logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mszp logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. §hepTalk 18:34, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Userboxes/Politics (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). File:Naqoyqatsi-1.jpg[edit]

I have tagged File:Naqoyqatsi-1.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Elder Scrolls IV-Shivering Isles-gate.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Elder Scrolls IV-Shivering Isles-gate.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 20:47, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
