Fair use rationale for Image:APJ_Abdul_Kalam's_Family.JPG

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:APJ_Abdul_Kalam's_Family.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sandstein 22:55, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. In case, the image violates copyright rules and regulations and does not conform to the policies & guidelines of wikipedia, you are most welcome to delete the same. Thanks. --Bhadani 17:36, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you make a change to your archive page?

[edit]

Would you be able to remove the text "{{tfd|smile}}" (without the quotes) from your talk archive page at User talk:Bhadani/Archive08? I couldn't edit it because it is protected. I've been removing these old tfd messages because they are confusing and disrupt the layout of the page - the deletion debate that is being referred to in that message can be found here. Thanks, Graham87 14:26, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you also do the same thing at User talk:Crzrussian/Archive 8? Thanks, Graham87 14:29, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I will do this for my talk page for sure. As regards the other one, I do not feel comfortable touching other editor's talk page for such matters. Thanks. --Bhadani 17:38, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think this will serve the purpose: [9]. In case,. anything more is required, please tell me. --Bhadani 17:45, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: change to archive page

[edit]

Yeah that would work - but you only needed to comment out one line, that containing the {{tfd|smile}}. The rest of the template is safe. But if you want to remove the template entirely from your page, that's OK too - it's your archive page. Graham87 01:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the support, I had no clue that I would ever get near the 100 mark, I am overwhelmed by the support thus far. Cheers :). ~ Arjun 04:35, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

[edit]
Thank You,
Bhadani/Archive18 for your Support!
Thank you for your support in my RfA, which closed at 111 / 1 / 2. I am humbled and rather shocked to see such kind comments and for it to reach WP:100. Please feel free to leave a note if I have made a mistake or if you need anything, I will start out slow and tackle the harder work once I get accustomed to the tools. Thank you once more, I simply cannot express in words my gratitude.

West Bengal Portal

[edit]

I have been observing with awe the amount of contribution you have made to numerous pages in Wikipedia. I come across your edits so often. Portal:West Bengal has been vastly improved by riana_dzasta and S.D. ¿п?, with automated selection of articles. It is now a Featured portal candidate. Please have a look. Regards -- P.K.Niyogi 02:37, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great work indeed! --Bhadani 10:48, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for you words of encouragement. Kindly have a look at Wikipedia:Featured portal candidates/Portal:West Bengal. Regards -- P.K.Niyogi 10:58, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Bhadaniji, how are you doing? You must be participating in the wikicamp, right? Meanwhile, Delhi got featured status, and, as you have been already informed, Portal:West Bengal is up for featured portal candidacy. Also, Nathu La should be up for FAC soon. So its good wikying everywhere. Happy editing! Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 11:08, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question.

[edit]

Hey could you check this link. If you see carefully all video is linked to youtube. It seems to be a full video. It is illegal to post copyright video in wikipedia. Should i add a delete tag or you going to delete or should it be like this?. --SkyWalker 07:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have copied this to my sandbox :) I find that only links to the full video has been posted in Wikipedia, and perhaps it is not any infringement of copyright. Uploading the full video to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons without the permission of copyright holders will be a violation of copyright. However, you are requested to seek opinions of others too. Thanks. --Bhadani 08:12, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats

Congratulations Bhadani, for having made it to the newspapers. You were mentioned in today's print edition (Chennai) of The Hindu. Keep up the good work -- PlaneMad|YakYak 15:55, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wonderful! http://www.hindu.com/2007/02/26/stories/2007022607290400.htm "Bhadani, Sundar and Ganeshk have won the appreciation of Wikipedia users the Wikipedia way. They all received barn stars — as photo files — from other editors that they display in their user pages." Great indeed! Neroburner 05:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hello Bhadaniji! You must have enjoyed the Wikicamp! Did anyone from Kolkata attend the camp?--Dwaipayan (talk) 11:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I could not spot anyone. I will ask others and if possible try to tell you. --Bhadani 16:36, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I asked you the question because I saw you posting a report where you told that participants were from all over India, including Kolkata. I was just thinking who participated from here.--Dwaipayan (talk) 17:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps no one [11] though I will try to confirm and deny exactly. --Bhadani 17:41, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
