Les images de Troilus

[edit]

Oui, s'il vous plaît. (Hm. Having spent some time working out which letter should have a cirumflex, I think I'll return to English.)

Both the Munich vases you mention are referenced in the article. It would be nice to have the illustrations handy. If you have a picture showing the shoulders of Munich 1722 [1], that also features Troilos.

I see what you mean about Louvre E669 and Gantz. I included it because I wanted an ancient Greek picture to do with Troilos. One, or preferably several, actually showing him would be better. Apart from your offer to take a picture of Louvre E622, I notice that Gantz refers to some other items in the Louvre: G154 (by the Byrgos painter), E638, E703 and G18. Louvre G18 (by Oltos) is specifically mentioned in the article. Any of those which you get a chance to take will be gratefully received.

Merci beaucoup--Peter cohen 16:35, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the update. It's a pity your opportunities to take photos of some of these are restricted. For the vase you can't find Carpenter gives both Louvre G 18 and ARV 61.68. --Peter cohen 18:55, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still looking for a picture of the Oltos online, so you know what I'm talking about. In the man time I've found a mention here [2] to E876 --Peter cohen 19:08, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Bibi, Thank you again for your efforts. Two photographs extra on the two that were there before you found the article is a distinct improvement. on the situation before. --Peter cohen 21:51, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the new pictures. --Peter cohen 21:57, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Troilus is now officially a good article. Thank you for your contribution. --Peter cohen 12:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the latest batch of pictures which are now incorporated into the article. We're now running out of space for anu more ancient illustrations. --Peter cohen (talk) 15:33, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of opera titles

[edit]

There has been a consensus to use the capitalization found in, for example, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Opera/Article guidelines#Operas: capitalization and diacritics). Thus, the preferred title would be Les fêtes de Paphos, not Les Fêtes de Paphos. --Robert.Allen (talk) 07:26, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
