External links[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Psychiatry do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Muchness 21:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. External link spamming on Wikipedia is defined as, "Adding external links to an article or user page for the purpose of promoting a website or a product". Links to your website were removed because a) Wikipedia's external links guidelines recommend that editors avoid linking to sites they own or maintain, and b) Wikipedia prohibits linking to sites that exist primarily to sell a product or service. See Advertising and conflicts of interest for more info. If you feel a link to your website is appropriate, please consider suggesting the link for inclusion on the article's talk page, so that editors who are not affiliated with the website can decide whether to add it. --Muchness 05:59, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
