Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 07:52, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia account deletion[edit]

Will you please delete my Wikipedia account? --Bicycleride458 (talk) 05:57, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia accounts are not deleted. But there's no one stopping you from logging out and never logging back in (not saying that that's what you should do or anything... not really seeing why we would delete your account if we did do that sort of thing). Reason of deletion[edit]

Why we would delete my Wikipedia account is because I no longer need it. Bicycleride458 (talk) 06:32, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Again, we do not delete accounts. And again, no one is stopping you from logging out, no one is forcing you to log back in. Ian.thomson (talk) 07:02, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disabling account[edit]

How about permanently disabling my account. Bicycleride458 (talk) 07:47, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Press this button. Ian.thomson (talk) 07:55, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps I can clarify for you why your account cannot be deleted. When you signed up for an account, you entered into an agreement with WMF to release all your work to them under a copyright license known as CC BY SA 3.0. This agreement is reaffirmed each and every time you press the save changes button. What is required under that copyright agreement is that your works be attributed back to you in perpetuity. So, your account is how those contributions are tracked and cannot be deleted.
If you are suffering from a bad case of Wiki-addiction and want to quit cold turkey, the best possible way to do that is to change your password to nonsense that you cannot remember (enter a string of gibberish in the first box and just copy and paste it to the second box), and sign out. You will not be able to sign back in and hopefully the act of registering again will give you enough pause to walk away. Only you can disable your account. Fucking in the ass[edit]

I'll just have to fuck you in your ass with my penis. Bicycleride458 (talk) 05:26, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

March 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a comment on the page User talk:Bicycleride458 with this edit that didn't seem very civil, so I removed it. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it’s one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 05:26, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, account "disabled"[edit]

For someone who says they don't need the account and wanted it deleted, you sure are wasting a lot of time here. That's your fault. I'd tell you to log out and have some self control, but we should clearly expect more from a child than from you. Since you're obviously just looking to waste everyone's time, I've blocked your account, removed talk page access, and removed your ability to send emails to other Wikipedia users. Congratulations, you're disabled. Ian.thomson (talk) 05:33, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
