For this article I would like to expand further upon the actual effects of ecology and the other aspects of conservation management on a global level. and investigate exactly how the science of ecology is applied in the real world and in turn affects us as a global community. Some examples as to how these fields are put into practice and their net resulting impact on the community at large. I do encourage you to focus on this broad perspective throughout your article addition, rather than discussing any of the more specific topics mentioned on the article page (e.g., restoration ecology). A second suggestion I would give you it to incorporate references into your article addition - be sure to back up what you say, and do so using key articles that focus on this topic. Last, I would encourage you to think in greater depth about how what you will add will fit into what is already there. What do you think most needs to be added to this article, and where do you think it should be added? Critique: Overall, I think you did a good job introducing applied ecology, especially discussing the problems facing applied ecologists today. I would be interested in hearing a few more specific examples: what kind of projects do applied ecologists work on? Adding an example would really add to the reader's understanding of what applied ecology is. Additionally, I was slightly confused when you discussed how "the effects of applied ecology can have either effect." What are the effects you are referring to here? The "old saying" part seems informal and you don't explain why it applies to the current discussion. That aside, you did an excellent job of staying objective and sounding professional/formal and the tone is consistent with an official wikipedia aritcle.
